The "Recommended Pokémon" of seven prefectures are introduced!

1) Hokkaido x Arora Rokon & Rokon

Alola Rokon and Rokon have been appointed to the "Hokkaido Daisuki Discovery Team" and are involved in various activities. They were chosen together with Rokon, another fox Pokémon, because Hokkaido is one of Japan's snowiest regions and Alola Rokon, a fox Pokémon that lives in the snowy mountains, fits the image of Hokkaido perfectly.

Iwate Prefecture and Ishitsubute

Ishitsubute has been appointed as an "Iwate Support Pokémon" and is involved in various activities. Ishitsubute has the "Iwa" type among 18 types, and its appearance of a "rock" with a "hand" on it symbolizes "Iwate. The "hand" on the "rock" also symbolizes "Iwate," so Ishitsubute was chosen as an "Iwate Ouen Pokémon.

Miyagi Prefecture × Laplace

Laplace was appointed as a "Miyagi Support Pokémon" and has been involved in various activities. The selection of Laplace, a "vehicle" Pokémon that travels on water, was made with the hope that many people will travel on Laplace, especially to coastal areas that were severely affected by the earthquake and tsunami.

4) Fukushima Prefecture x Lucky

Lucky was appointed as "Fukushima Support Pokemon" and is involved in various activities. Lucky is a Pokémon said to bring happiness (Fuku) and is associated with the good fortune of Fukushima Prefecture.
Lucky's eggs are delicious and full of nutrients, so it was chosen as the perfect Pokémon to support Fukushima Prefecture and bring happiness to people in and out of the prefecture through its delicious and nutritious agricultural products.

5) Tottori Prefecture × Sand and Alola Sand

Sand and Alola Sand were appointed as "Tottori Hometown Ambassadors" and are involved in various activities. Sand is a sand-loving Pokémon, and was chosen because it is a perfect match for Tottori Prefecture, which is home to the Tottori Sand Dunes, one of the three largest sand dunes in Japan.

6) Kagawa Prefecture × Yadon

Yadon has been appointed to the "Udon Prefecture PR team" and is involved in various activities. Yadon was chosen because of the similarity in sound between "Udon," a specialty of Kagawa Prefecture, and "Yadon.
Other reasons why Yadon is the perfect Pokémon to promote Kagawa Prefecture, also known as Udon, include the fact that Yadon's "tail is sweet" in relation to sweet sweets such as wasanbon and rare sugar, and the fact that the prefecture has long suffered from water shortages and the legend that when Yadon "yawns" it will "rain.

(vii) Miyazaki Prefecture x Nassie

Nassie has been appointed as "Miyazaki Daisuki Pokemon" and is involved in various activities. Miyazaki Prefecture, which has a mild climate and is warm all year round, has chosen a palm tree called the Phoenix as its prefectural tree, which was chosen because it looks like a palm tree and fits the image of Nassie, which is called a "walking rainforest.
