VR Devilman Exhibition - Devil's Heart, Human Heart", in a virtual space, starting on Wednesday, April 28!

The VR Devilman Exhibition Executive Committee will hold an exhibition event centered on three "Devilman" series: the manga version of "Devilman" by Go Nagai, the TV anime "Devilman" by Toei Doga (now Toei Animation), and the "DEVILMAN crybaby," which was released on Netflix in 2018, will be the focus of the "VR Devilman Exhibition - Devilman's Heart, Human Heart" exhibition.

The "VR Devilman Exhibition - Devilman's Heart, Human Heart" will be held on the virtual space exhibition platform "VU (VU) Virtual Utopia" from April 28, 2021 (Wednesday) for a limited time.

The manga version of "Devilman" by Go Nagai, serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) in 1972, is known as a masterpiece that, in addition to its breathless development and innovative daemons, depicted a concept that could be considered a warning bell for mankind with the best brushwork. In parallel with the serialization, Toei Doga (now Toei Animation) aired the TV anime "Devilman," which was widely popular as a different kind of hero from the manga, especially with Masaki Tsuji as the scriptwriter.

In 2018, "DEVILMAN crybaby," the first film based on the manga version to the end of the story, was exclusively distributed on Netflix. It has become a big hit among fans not only in Japan but around the world.

■An impressive experience consisting of 11 areas

For almost half a century, "Devilman" has left its mark on the hearts and minds of readers and viewers in various forms. The demons, which highlight the cruelty and weakness of the human creature, have interacted with countless readers, reminiscent of a devil merging in a sabbatical.
Visitors to this exhibition are sure to confront, consciously or unconsciously, the demons that lie dormant within themselves. The exhibition is designed to contrast and decipher the minds of "humans" and "demons" depicted in the world of Devilman's works.
The exhibition area consists of 11 areas, each of which is a fantasy space reconstructed with a motif of a memorable scene from Devilman, and is sure to overwhelm visitors.

Main Areas "Heart of Devil" and "Heart of Human
The four main exhibition areas are interchangeable. By visiting them repeatedly, or by changing the order in which visitors tour each area, they will have their own interpretations and impressions of the exhibits. In addition, some of the areas are hidden areas, accessible only to those who have viewed certain exhibits.
In addition, in the "Devilman's Expansion" area, which looks back on the works surrounding "Devilman," a giant statue of Go Nagai, created by high-definition 3D scanning, will greet visitors to the exhibition. In addition, the "Devilman Expansion" area, which is a free area, will feature a display of messages from creators who are associated with Devilman, and other exhibits that are not to be missed.

■Development of "VU (VU) Virtual Utopia" virtual space
