Bare Knuckle IV Announces Additional Content "Mr. X Nightmare! New mode and three additional characters!

For the PS4/Switch "Bare Knuckle IV Special Edition," new additional content will be released for the main game. Details will be provided along with information released by DotEmu, the developer of "Bare Knuckle IV" and publisher of the digital version of the game.

Released in 2020, "Bare Knuckle IV" marks the return of the classic belt-scrolling action series, which has received critical acclaim since its release for its evolution while remaining faithful to the series' unique action.

This title features new and returning characters, stylish hand-drawn artwork, all-new combat skills and tricks, retro pixel-drawn character unlocks, and music arrangements of the sounds and styles that made the original games so popular.

Additional content "Mr. X Nightmare" is announced.

This time, "Mr. X Nightmare" is announced as additional content (hereinafter referred to as DLC) for "Bare Knuckle IV (original title: Streets of Rage 4)". This DLC adds three new playable characters and a special survival game mode, and is scheduled for release on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch by the end of the year.

At the same time as this DLC, a free update will be released for all platforms, which will implement additional content. Incidentally, "Bare Knuckle IV" has been downloaded more than 2.5 million times across all platforms combined.

In the trailer released this time, Estelle Aguirre, one of the fighters added in "Mr. X Nightmare," appears and joins forces with the heroes of "Bare Knuckle IV" for the first time. Estelle, who once appeared in the game as a fearsome boss, uses powerful ammunition and spin kicks to inflict massive damage on the fools who stand before her.

Survival mode and new difficulty levels are now available!
Mr. X Nightmare" also features a unique survival mode. In Survival Mode, players will overcome special tests that require skill and put their true abilities to the test. More details on the game mode and actual gameplay will be released in the future.

Newly implemented character customization allows players to build a fighting style that incorporates new special moves to suit their own preferences. New weapons and enemies will also be added to the game, allowing players to enjoy even more heated battles. Mr. X Nightmare" will feature new and amazing original music by Tee Lopes, the composer and arranger behind "Sonic Mania," "League of Legends," "Monster Boy: Cursed Kingdom," and more.

The free update adds a new difficulty level, "Mania+," which allows players to take on the overwhelmingly strong characters in Bare Knuckle IV. The update also adds a new training system that allows players to study enemy-killing combos and tactics, and a new color palette option to change the appearance of the fighters who make Wood Oak City tremble.
