Celebrating 20 years! Tropico 6 Nintendo Switch Edition" goes on sale today! Simulation of dictatorship management
Kalypso Media Japan released "Tropico 6 Nintendo Switch Edition" exclusively for Nintendo Switch today, April 22, and released a launch trailer and celebratory video.
Tropico 6" is a boxyard simulation game in which players manage an island nation in the Caribbean Sea. There are more than 140 different types of buildings that form the foundation of the country. The game is a game about building and developing a nation that has been through many vicissitudes, such as colonial rule and world wars. It is up to you, the Presidente, to decide what kind of nation you want to build.
In addition, a celebration video of the Japanese version of the "Tropico" series was released to commemorate the series' 20th anniversary on April 21, and a highlight video of a pre-play live performance by popular comedians R Fujimoto-san and Biscetti-san, which took place on April 13, was also released on R Fujimoto-san's YouTube channel. The video highlights the unique experience of running a dictatorship.
This unique management simulation of a dictatorship is full of challenging elements. Enjoy it over the Golden Week holidays.

Launch Trailer
20th Anniversary Celebration Video
This video shows the celebration of Tropico's 20-year history. A look back at the Tropico series with nostalgic artwork. This is a celebration video full of festive mode with irony in many places and full of complicating elements.
R Fujimoto's play video highlights
This is a highlight version of the advance play video that was live-streamed on April 13. After showing his DB Geisha spirit by constructing a turtle house on a remote islet, he then went all out to increase the country's power in politics, infrastructure development, and trade. You can enjoy the process of challenging elections through miscalculations and realizations, such as the discovery that a low-productivity site is unexpectedly a one-operator operation, or that the ingredient needed to export cheese is not milk.
Mr. R. Fujimoto, after completing the advance play.
As announced in the congratulatory video, the company plans to deliver content that looks back on the 20th anniversary in the future. Let's look forward to it.
