DMM's "PLAYERUNKNWON'S BATTLEGROUNDS" Service Ends, Data Transfer to Steam Available

On Wednesday, April 21, 2021, the DMM version of "PLAYERUNKNWON'S BATTLEGROUNDS" will end its channeling service in Japan.

The service of "PLAYERUNKNWON'S BATTLEGROUNDS," which began distribution on September 19, 2017, will end on June 2, 2021, at the time of the start of maintenance for the DMM version of PUBG.

Service end date and time: June 2, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
*After the service ends, it will not be possible to play, newly install, or update this game on the DMM version. Also, installed games will no longer be able to be started.

■Data Transfer to Steam
As a result of discussions with PUBG Corp, players who have been playing on the DMM version will be able to transfer their data to the Steam version.Those who wish to transfer their data should follow the steps below.

Start of data transfer: April 28, 2021, 17:30 (after maintenance)
End of data transfer: June 2, 2021 9:30 (at the start of maintenance)

Once you have applied for a data transfer, you will not be able to change the account to which you wish to transfer the data.
If you have purchased the Steam version of PUBG on Steam, your DMM version of PUBG will be overwritten with the Steam version of PUBG. If you do not wish to have your data overwritten, please prepare a Steam account that has not purchased the Steam version of PUBG separately and perform the transfer process.

Procedure for transferring data to Steam

Login to the DMM account you wish to transfer data to and launch the DMM version of PUBG.
2. When you join the PUBG lobby, the "Agreement to transfer PUBG information (data) to the Steam version" will be displayed.

3. If you agree to the transfer, the following two codes will be issued.
(1) DMM account transfer code
(2) PUBG game code that can be registered in the Steam library

Be sure to keep the codes in a screenshot or memo, as you will need to enter the correct code for each use.
After you have been issued the two codes for transfer, you can check the codes you have received by launching the game and logging in on the DMM version of PUBG.
The codes will no longer be issued after 9:30 a.m. on June 2, 2021 (after the start of maintenance) when the transfer service ends, and the two types of codes issued will all be unusable after the period.

4. Log in to your Steam account where PUBG is not yet installed.
You cannot use the PUBG game code issued to a Steam account that already has a PUBG game registered.
5. Enter the PUBG game code provided in the Steam library and install PUBG.
6. Launch Steam PUBG and enter the lobby.
7. Select "Shop" from the upper menu in the lobby.
8. Click the "Request Transfer to Steam" button on the bottom left of the store.

9. After clicking the "Transfer to Steam" button, an input screen for entering the transfer code will appear.

10. Enter the (1) DMM account transfer code issued in #3 to start the transfer.
After the transfer is started, you will not be able to start PUBG with your DMM account.
After the transfer to Steam has started, it is not possible to change the account to which the data is transferred or to transfer the data of another DMM account to an already transferred Steam account.

11. The time required for data transfer depends on the amount of information.
During the transfer process, you will not be able to login to either DMM or Steam version of PUBG, and you will be able to login to Steam version of PUBG after the data transfer is completed.
Check the transferred data.
The information of the costume set worn by the character will not be transferred, so please go to the "Customize" tab and customize your character again.

Termination of Billing Service and Item Sales
The sale of in-game items with DMM points will end on April 28, 2021 at 17:30 (after maintenance).

Refund of unused "Key (paid)
After the service ends, refunds will be made for the unused balance of unused "Key (paid)" purchased with DMM points in accordance with Article 20.1 of the Act on the Settlement of Funds.

Details regarding refunds will be announced on the official website after the service ends.
The refund request period is from June 2, 2021 11:00 to September 30, 2021 11:00.

Key (paid) purchased on Steam cannot be refunded.
To apply for a refund, please contact us and do not cancel your DMM membership.
Refund requests can be made regardless of whether or not a data transfer has been executed.
If data transfer is performed, refund will be made according to the number of paid keys remaining at the time of completion of the transfer procedure.
If data transfer is not performed, refunds will be made according to the number of paid keys remaining at the time the DMM version of the service is terminated.
