Square Enix today announced "Gate of Nightmares," a completely new RPG, on Thursday, April 22, 2021.

Gate of Nightmares" is a completely new royal adventure fantasy RPG with character design and world setting by Hiro Mashima, scenario by Hitoshi Fujisawa, and music by Koji Takanashi, with production cooperation from Kodansha.

In the world of "Lemurious," where the "real world" where people live and the dreams they have are blended and materialized, Emma, a girl who has become a "nightwalker" who uses "Nightmare," a demon born from nightmares, meets a mysterious boy, Azel, who has a constitution to be favored by "Nightmare," and gets involved in an adventure that will determine the fate of the world. Emma meets Azel, a mysterious boy who has a predilection for nightmares, and is drawn into an adventure that will determine the fate of the world.

All characters in the game are newly drawn by Hiro Mashima, and the scenario by Hitoshi Fujisawa can be enjoyed in full voice.

Prior to the official launch of the service, a "test version trial session" is scheduled to be held to allow players to experience the development environment ahead of the official launch. The "test version trial session" will start recruiting participants in the near future, so look forward to it.
