Seven years have passed since we first released "SHAREfactory" for PlayStation 4 in April 2014, and we are very happy that so many members of the PlayStation community are using this application.

The idea for SHAREfactory was born when we first learned about the PS4's recording capabilities and the innovative SHARE button on the wireless controller (DUALSHOCK 4), an industry first. Many of our team members had game development experience and others had video editing or multimedia design experience, so we thought, as game fans ourselves, how fun it would be to have an app on PS4 that would allow the PlayStation community to create their own edited videos and share them with their friends. As game fans ourselves, we thought how fun it would be to have an app on PS4 that would allow the PlayStation community to create their own edited videos and share them with friends. It didn't take us long to come up with the idea for SHAREfactory.

Since then, we've been amazed by the creativity of our users and how they use the app, and we've listened to their feedback to further enhance SHAREfactory with continuous improvements to make the editing experience as smooth as possible.

We hope that many of you will enjoy this update of Share Factory Studio for PS5, and we hope to see many gameplay moments where your creativity is on full display.
Happy editing!
