Production of the new movie "Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Walpurgis no Kaiten" has been decided! 10th anniversary projects are also being planned!

The production of "Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Walpurgis no Kaiten" was announced during the "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" Anniversary Stage held on Sunday, April 25, 2021.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica" has been broadcast as a TV series since January 2011 and has become a hot topic.
Director Akiyuki Shinbo, screenwriter Gen Urobuchi (Nitroplus), and character designer Ume Aoki have created a world where girls and magical girls live together, where the daily lives of cute girls are unpredictable and thrilling. The story created by the leading creators of the day was highly acclaimed in a wide range of fields.

In 2012, "Part 1: Hajimari no Monogatari" and "[Part 2:] Eien no Monogatari" were released, which are re-edited versions of the TV series in two parts, and in 2013, a completely new film, "[New Part] Rebellion" was released, and the box-office revenue of the "New Part" surpassed the 2 billion yen mark for the first time as a late night animation film.

This work is a legitimate sequel to "[New Part] Rebellion" which was released in theaters in 2013.
A teaser visual newly drawn by character designer Junichiro Taniguchi and a teaser movie using the illustration were also released.
The main cast and main staff were also announced.

Akiyuki Shinbo will be the general director, Gen Kyobuchi will write the script, Ume Aoki will draft the characters, and Shaft will be in charge of animation production.

It was also announced that "Puella Magi Madoka Magica scene 0" will be produced within the smartphone game "Magia Records: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Gaiden".
Enjoy the story presented by Nitroplus and f4samurai in the app game 'Magia Record' about the story that happened in the repetitive world where Madoka and Homura fight.
