The trailer of the movie "The Crocodile that Lives for 100 Days", which will be released on May 28, 2021 in Japan, has arrived.

The original manga "Crocodile that dies after 100 days" is a four-frame manga describing the daily life of a casual crocodile posted by Yuki Kikuchi on Twitter every day for 100 days from December 12, 2019 to March 20, 2020. The final story received 2.14 million "likes," the highest number ever recorded on Twitter in Japan. The animated film "The Crocodile That Lived for 100 Days" will hit the screen on May 28, 2021.

The recently released trailer begins with a scene from the 100th day of the original manga "The Crocodile that Dies after 100 Days". A rat is worried about the crocodile who does not show up at the promised cherry blossom viewing party, and goes to pick him up.

Overlaid on the last scene of the four-frame comic strip that people watched last March 20 is the memories of the days spent by the crocodile and his friends. Hatsumode (New Year's visit to a shrine), eating ramen noodles with friends, and a date with a senpai from a part-time job, all in anticipation of a wonderful new year.

The film vividly depicts the ordinary days of the crocodile and his friends, who thought that friendship and love would last forever, as well as the original part of the film, which depicts the remaining days of the friends after 100 days of the crocodile's disappearance.

<Story

In March, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the crocodile is nowhere to be found at the cherry blossom viewing party that everyone had promised. His best friend, Rat, is worried and on his way to pick him up on his motorcycle, he sends a photo of the cherry blossoms in full bloom to his friends, but when he receives it, Wani's phone is lying on the road with a cracked screen.
100 days ago --- The crocodile visits the hospitalized rat and makes him laugh with his favorite one-liners. A phone call with his mother, who sends him oranges every year. A fleeting romance with a sempai at his part-time job. Ramen noodle shop with friends. His favorite games, basketball, movies... Wani's everyday life is ordinary and mundane.
One hundred days after the cherry blossom viewing, the cherry trees are green and the falling petals have turned to rain. The friends were unable to face their memories of the crocodile, and they were no longer in touch with each other.
