New Pokemon Snap" for Switch released today! Check out "PokeGO" and the collaboration with Fujifilm!

Nintendo Switch software "New Pokemon Snap" is released today, April 30. A "Pokemon GO" collaboration event, a tie-up with Fujifilm, and the launch of Lawson Print service were announced.

New Pokemon Snap" is a completely new game based on the gameplay of "Pokemon Snap" released as a Nintendo 64 game in 1999. The main character visits islands full of nature, such as jungles and seas, and investigates the vivid Pokémon living in the wild. Take pictures and create your own Pokémon photo book.

Story / Research Course

Create your own Pokémon photo album through repeated encounters and discoveries!
The main character visits the "Lentil Region" and, at the request of Dr. Kagami, takes pictures of wild Pokémon living there and investigates their ecology.

Since the environment differs greatly from island to island, the ecology of Pokémon also varies. You will be able to observe the unique expressions and behaviors of wild Pokémon, as well as the unusual ecology of Pokémon unique to the Lentil region.
While discovering Pokémon's unique expressions and behaviors in the wild, create your own Pokémon Photo Album.

When you are ready, let's go out to investigate!
The Lentil region is dotted with islands with different environments, such as jungles with lush trees and vast deserts. Let's investigate, observe, and photograph the wild Pokémon that inhabit each island.

Floreo Nature Park
A park with a great view. There are lush greenery, a large lake, and flower gardens. Pokémon are active in a friendly and spontaneous manner, and you can observe them up close.

Micke Jungle
A jungle surrounded by the sweet smell of plants and fruits. The footholds are a bit unstable, perhaps due to the dense growth of trees and plants. Many Pokémon seem to hide in the trees or blend in with the scenery, so look around carefully.

Nijiro Beach
A calm beach with beautiful, lightly colored sands. On the sun-drenched beach, you can see Pokémon in high spirits and Pokémon sleeping comfortably.

Copiah Reef
A wide, calm sea. The shimmering surface of the sea and the coral at the bottom of the crystal-clear ocean are beautiful. Many water-type Pokémon live here.

There are also "Lentil Sea Bed," "Nessa Desert," "Toxic Forest," etc!

A collaboration event is being held on "PokeGO" until May 2 (Sun.)!

A "New Pokemon Snap" Celebration event is currently being held on the smartphone location-based application "Pokemon GO" to celebrate the release of "New Pokemon Snap.

During the event, Pokémon associated with the "New Pokémon Snap" will appear in "Pokémon GO" and visitors can try a new "GO Snapshot" themed research task.
The event will run until 8:00 a.m. Japan time on Sunday, May 2!

Tie-up with Fujifilm "Cheki" "instax mini Link

A new app, "instax mini Link for Nintendo Switch," which allows users to make a screenshot of a game screen on their Nintendo Switch into a Cheki print for the "instax mini Link" smartphone printer, will be available on April 30, 2012. The new app, "instax mini Link for Nintendo Switch," will be available on April 30 (Friday).
By reading the QR code displayed on the Nintendo Switch with the app, users can easily make a Cheki print with Link. By collecting and displaying them in your room, you can feel closer to the world of games and characters.

This time, "instax mini Link" and "New Pokemon Snap" have tied up!
Not only can users enjoy printing the game screen of "New Pokemon Snap" on a Cheki, but they can also enjoy "Frame Print," which allows users to enjoy printing with a "New Pokemon Snap" design frame. In addition, "New Pokemon Snap" can be selected as the design for the application screen.

In addition, a new color "Ash White (Red&Blue)" is newly available for the "instax mini Link" printer. The new color design uses Ash White as its base color, with red on the print output section and blue around the power button on the front of the unit. To commemorate the release of the "New Pokemon Snap," a limited number of the set with a Pikachu-designed silicone case will be available.

The screen design of the dedicated smartphone app is not only "New Pokemon Snap", but also "Atsumare Animal Crossing" and "Super Mario", and there are three choices. The user can enjoy operating the app while feeling the world of the game and its characters.

New Pokemon Snap" x Lawson Print service also launched

The "New Pokemon Snap" x Lawson Print service, which allows users to print photos taken with "New Pokemon Snap" at Lawson stores nationwide (participating stores), began today, April 30 (Fri.), 2012!
Images taken in "New Pokemon Snap" are divided and calendared, and print numbers for stickers and bromides are issued. The issued print numbers can be used at "Lawson Print" in LAWSON multi-copiers.

Two types of composites are available: split and calendar. In the split, users can choose between 4, 9, and 16 split images, and can print a combination of 2, 3, and 4 images, respectively.

In addition, a monthly calendar for one year from today, the release date, can be printed with your own photos taken with the "New Pokemon Snap. Enjoy having your own personal photo taken as a sticker or calendar and keep it with you.
