⇒The film will finally open in theaters on April 23 (Friday)! All the scene photos of "Rurouni Kenshin: The Last Chapter" are now on view!

The movie "Rurouni Kenshin: The Final Chapter" opened in theaters on April 23 (Fri.) as one of the biggest Japanese films of all time. The film has surpassed the 2-day weekend box office of "Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Fire Arc," which was the largest grossing film in the series, by 510 million yen over the 2-day weekend, and by 745 million yen over the 3-day opening weekend! The film has made a record-breaking blockbuster start, becoming the No. 1 live-action film opening in 2021.

The series' most fearsome enemy, Yukihiro En, launches an all-out assault on Tokyo in order to take revenge against Kenshin. The "Rurouken" all-star cast gathered for the ultimate climax, challenging the final battle for Kenshin and the new era. I want to watch it over and over again. It's great, it's great, it's great, it's great, it's great, it's great, it's great! The action is so spectacular that you don't have time to blink! and "The action is so spectacular that you don't have time to blink!" The nonstop, spectacular action that has evolved with each series has been the subject of many surprising comments.

Now, a training video that takes viewers behind the scenes of the action has been unleashed.

What is surprising is that almost all of the superb action, the biggest attraction of the film, was performed by the actors themselves. Takeru Sato, who plays the role of Kenshin Himura, the main character who has fought many battles to the death, demonstrates brilliant actions using his whole body, which must be called "god speed," using a sword that cannot be cut (reverse-blade sword). It was as if we were watching the "Hiten Goken-ryu," Kenshin's specialty, in which he makes the most of his three speeds: the speed of his sword, the speed of his body movement, and the speed with which he anticipates his opponent's movements.

In the "final chapter," Kenshin is joined by Kensuke Nitta as En Yukiyo, who is bent on taking everything Kenshin has and destroying him. The film also shows a series of scenes in which En and Hajime Saito (Yosuke Eguchi) confront each other on the train and knock out police officers one after the other, taking the audience by surprise. The powerful and speedy Chinese kung-fu, including powerful punches and kicks, and the spectacular battles with bare intent to kill, performed by Mr. Nitta, who embodies En's inhuman strength and destructive power, cannot contain the excitement of the audience.

⇒The live-action movie "Rurouni Kenshin: The Final/The Beginning" unveils additional cast members! The role of En, the most fearsome enemy in the series' history, will be played by Men-suke Nitta!

Other cast members include Aoki Takataka as Sagara Sanosuke, who uses his incredible arm strength to defeat his enemies; Tsuchiya Taoho as Makimachi Misao, who performs agile and light actions, including backflips, alongside the male cast members; and Eguchi Yosuke as Saito Hajime, who shows an overwhelming power gap by swinging his specialty, the sword, one after another, without giving any chance for attack. They all gave their all in order to solidify the action in this film.

Takeru Sato commented on the action shots for this film as follows: "I have a special feeling for this series.
I have special feelings for this series, and this is definitely the most important episode for Kenshin, so I was determined to give it my all. When I thought about making this the most powerful episode in the series, I felt that the action scenes should be "clean". I wanted to create something never seen before by condensing only the most sophisticated action scenes, so I worked with director Otomo and action director Tanigaki-san to create it from scratch on the set."

The film continues to reign supreme as the pinnacle of entertainment, and its grand opening was befitting of the most talked-about film of 2021. We hope that you will enjoy the real "genuine" action, which not only shows the power of the actors' bodies colliding with each other in realistic scenes, but also the intense emotions of the characters.

Himura Kenshin was once feared as the "Battousai the Manslayer," but with the dawn of a new era, he has a reverse-blade sword (Sakabatou) that cannot be cut and leads a peaceful life.
After fighting to the death in an unprecedented battle to stop his worst enemy, Makoto Shizuo, from plotting to overthrow Japan, Kenshin and his friends live peacefully at the Kamiya Dojo.
However, someone suddenly launches an attack on central Tokyo, endangering the lives of Kenshin and his friends.
Who is behind the attack? This leads to the mystery of the crossed wounds that will never disappear, which is greatly related to Kenshin's past, which has never been revealed.
The climax of "Rurouni Kenshin" is the greatest climax in the history of "Rurouni Kenshin," which is depicted through two eras: the turbulent final days of the Tokugawa Shogunate and the new era after the Meiji Restoration. Everything about "Rurouni Kenshin" is here.
