Steam] Good Luck Comes to the Gate of Laughter! Featuring PC silly games that make you laugh!
Dear readers of Akiba Research Institute, how are you doing? This is Nero Hyakkabe, a writer who buys too many games. Suddenly, have you ever played a "stupid game"? Unlike "shitty games," which are games with unreasonably high difficulty or low completion, "bakagames" are silly games that make you laugh with their developers' unbalanced passion, incomprehensible worldviews, and bold, funny elements. This time, we would like to introduce you to a few games on Steam that are unique, lovable, and silly.

Panties. Panties" is a word that refers to women's underwear for the lower half of the body and has a different nuance from "pants," but "Panty Party" is a very unusual action game in which such panties are the main character.
The protagonist of this game is a high school girl, Yurika. One day in town, she happens to meet a pair of pants that can fly and speak. Pants tells her, "You are a warrior of love who fights against bad pants! And then, even more incomprehensibly, she transforms into the form of underpants. Thus, Yurika, as a righteous underpants, battles against the evil underpants army that plans to brainwash humans.
What do you think of ...... this tremendous story? The story is told as it is in the game, but it has a surreal quality that is not half-baked, as if I were talking about a dream I had yesterday.
This is a 3D action game in which you control a pair of underpants to fight enemies.
The basic actions are orthodox for a 3D action game: move, dash, evade, jump, and attack. Three types of attack methods are available. The game offers a wide variety of attacks, such as the slash, a short-range normal move that slashes the enemy, the beam, a long-range attack, and the boomerang, a ranged attack, all of which have a coold time until they can be used again. Each of them has a set cool time before they can be used again.
In addition, the "passion" state, which is achieved by consuming the gauge accumulated in battle, allows the player to power up for a certain period of time. The system allows players to advance to the next stage by wiping out enemy pants that appear on the field while making full use of these actions.
Before starting and after clearing a stage, Yumerika's story unfolds in the adventure part. Yumerika meets and interacts with new underpants one after another, and the story is fully voiced with gorgeous full voices. The majority of the characters in this work are underpants, so there are scenes where underpants and underpants are talking to each other. I wonder if there has ever been a game in which a standing picture of a flying underpants and another standing picture of another flying underpants are lined up on one screen. I mean, even though I wrote it myself, the term "standing pants picture" is also quite a power word.
The stages are equipped with missions such as "No Death Clear," and new playable pants can be unlocked by completing them. In addition to the fun of unlocking new playable pants, players can also have fun finding the pants that suit their own tastes. Still, "finding the pants that suit your taste" is a phrase that is not often written about in game introduction articles. ......
The differences among the 17 playable characters, or rather the 17 playable pants in this title, are not only in performance. Starting with the main character Yurika's pants, "striped pants," "dotted pants," and "bear pants," they all have a very different appearance. Some of the pants, such as the ones with a giant swan on them, are clearly something you would never encounter in everyday life, and they are a silly game that shows off its dignity. Although it is easy to choose the best pants based on their performance, it might be a good idea to play the game from the viewpoint of which pants you like the look of purely for the sake of strategy.
Panty Party" is a game that focuses on the unusual subject of panties, but is not pornographic in nature, and can be played casually by men and women of all ages. If you are interested in playing a slightly different action game, please try this mysterious world where you control panties and fight against panties.
- Mr. President!

President is an English word that means the head of an organization, such as president or president, but the typical meaning you hear most in everyday life is "president". The upcoming "Mr. President!" is a surreal and silly action game featuring the president of a fictional country. Please note that this game is not available in Japanese at the time of writing.
The protagonist of this game is a bodyguard who protects the president of a fictional country, Mr. RUMP, who looks more and more like someone else with his face, hair, and physique, and even his name looks a lot like someone else, but he is a fictional entity that has nothing to do with a real person. But he is a fictitious entity that has nothing to do with a real person!
The rules of this game are quite simple and straightforward. You control a bodyguard to protect Mr. RUMP from being shot by a sniper shortly after the game starts. There are no questions about how to protect him. You can tackle Mr. RUMP to get him out of the sniper's line of fire and blow him up as hard as you can, or you can take his place and jump in front of him. For the sake of the President, you are willing to sacrifice not only your body, but even his body (!). You can even jump out in front of the president to take his place.
The title itself, "Tackle the President to protect the President," is enough to make you feel silly, but the biggest silly point is that "the bodyguards are squishy.
The player-controlled bodyguard has a squishy appearance reminiscent of the character in the hit action puzzle game "Human Fall Flat. The "Human Fall Flat" character was white and soft, so the squishy appearance did not feel strange, but the bodyguard in "Mr. President! The bodyguard of "Mr. President!" has a black suit, sunglasses, a stout physique, and a skinhead, so his squishy movements are too mismatched. Just moving the character makes you laugh, and the game is too perfect as a silly game.
The greatest game-like feature of this work is the peculiar control of the bodyguard.
The bodyguard is so squishy that even a slight touch against an obstacle or a hurried descent down a flight of stairs will cause him to fall over.
And once they fall, it takes them a long time to get back up. Players repeatedly experience a surreal sense of helplessness as they watch the president, lying helpless on the floor, shot by a bullet, unable to reach him.
But the sense of accomplishment you get when you succeed in protecting the president is unparalleled. Surprisingly (and perhaps it is rude to say this), the game is designed in such a way that players can feel their own improvement through repeated trial and error, which is the real thrill of action games.
By the way, retries are extremely speedy and instantaneous, so you can retry again and again without feeling stressed, which is a great point.
The characters' appearance and movements alone are enough to fill your stomach, but the stage gimmicks are also packed with silliness.
In the beginning of the game, the president is being targeted by assassins as he climbs onto the stage, a situation that could be seen in a movie or TV drama. The President falling from the sky" and "The President falling on a giant noodle on the ground" are just a few of the surrealistic situations that players are faced with one after another, and they have no idea how to come up with them.
The giant taco may have been dropped from the sky by someone to assassinate the president, but in the case of the giant noodle, the president is falling of his own volition, so why should his bodyguards protect him? But the player still has to protect him at all costs. I will say it again, this work is too perfect as a silly game.
Although players tend to focus on the strong silly elements of a president and a squishy bodyguard that look like something they have seen somewhere before, "Mr. President! It is recommended not only for lovers of silly games, but also for those who want to challenge themselves with games of high difficulty.
- One Dollar Simulator" by Funny Twins
- Genre: Simulation
- Release date: February 16, 2020
- Price: 100 yen (as of April 22, 2021)

We have featured various simulator-type titles in our Steam game features, such as "Pottery Master," in which you spin a potter's wheel to fire pots, and "Chinese Brush Simulator," a calligraphy game in which you start by polishing ink. Simulator" may be the ultimate in simulator games. What exactly is being simulated is, quite simply, a "one dollar bill.
When you start the game, a beautiful green field suddenly opens up in front of you without any title, menu screen, or tutorial. By rotating the camera with the mouse, you can see that there are many rocks and tree branches lying around the field. There is no sign of people at all, and the atmosphere is very wilderness-like. There is no music, and all you can hear is the sound of the wind and birds chirping. How would one simulate a one-dollar bill in this verdant environment?
After moving the camera around for a while, you notice that the viewpoint is fixed on the rock in the center. Then you notice something white on top of the rock. Scrolling the mouse wheel, I was able to zoom in. I quickly checked the white object on the rock and found it to be ....... It was the unmistakable image of a $1 bill with George Washington on it.
So, what is this "One Dollar Simulator" game (I don't know if you can call it a game, but it is ......) about is looking at a $1 bill stuck in a rock. Sometimes you zoom in, sometimes you zoom out, sometimes you move the camera around and look at the $1 bill from different angles until you are satisfied with your view. Nothing more, nothing less, is the One Dollar Simulator. It is a curious thing that as you continue to gaze at the $1 bill blowing in the wind in the great outdoors, your mind gradually becomes more and more "one dollar.
As you continue to gaze at the $1 bill blowing in the wind in the great outdoors, your mind gradually becomes "nothing". Perhaps this is a zen experience game for a new age.
Incidentally, the purchase price of this game is 100 yen, or (approximately) one dollar at the time of writing. It could be interpreted as a joke, "By purchasing this game, you have sent a dollar into your PC screen.
But the game doesn't end with just looking at the $1 bill. Press the "W" key and you can become a $1 bill yourself!
...... may not make any sense, but it is what it is, so that's what it is.
Pressing the "W" key changes your perspective from looking at the $1 bill to "looking around you as a $1 bill," allowing you to see the scenery around you that you could not see before.
There is a forest, a rocky area, an abandoned building, and a shack with a door that rattles in the wind. ......
I don't know what "I see" is, but I was deeply moved by this mysterious feeling.
By the way, if you press the "M" key, the radio nearby will start playing. If you get tired of the ambient sounds of the great outdoors, you may want to look at (or become) a dollar bill while listening to the music on the radio.
The low price of 100 yen, coupled with the fact that the game is available on Steam, makes it a game that will make you feel like you're in the middle of a mystery. It's a great game to talk to people about, "There's this mysterious game on Steam: ......." If you're interested, please check it out. If you are interested in this game, please check it out.
