The latest title in the "Resident Evil" series, "Resident Evil Village" ("Village"), will be released on Saturday, May 8, 2021. It is the sequel to "Resident Evil7 Resident Evil" ("Resident Evil 7"), the best-selling title in the series' history, and a big title that game fans around the world are now paying attention to. Here we review some advance information on "Village," whose release is just a weekend away. We will explain the setting of the story, the characters, and the system employed.
Ethan heads back to the dead to save his beloved daughter
The protagonist of "The Village" is Ethan Winters, as in the previous title. He rescued his wife Mia, who disappeared in "Bio 7," and after that, they had a daughter and were supposed to be living happily ever after. One day, however, he is attacked by Chris Redfield, and his daughter Rose is kidnapped. In order to get Rose back, Ethan ventures into a cold European village.

The setting of the game is a cold village in Europe.
The emblem of the Umbrella Corporation closely resembles the emblem of the Umbrella Corporation, and the four emblems arranged around it. Is the Umbrella Corporation involved in the incidents in this film?
A factory on the outskirts of the village. Compared to the medieval atmosphere of the village, it seems to have been modernized.
Characters in the story
In addition to Ethan Winters, there are many other characters in the film. These include Chris Redfield, Mia Winters, and other characters from previous films, as well as new characters such as Mrs. Dmitrescu, the owner of the castle, and the mysterious engineer Heisenberg. Here are some of the main characters.
Ethan Winters.
The protagonist of "Bio 7" and "The Village. He is on a desperate mission to save Rose, who has been kidnapped by Chris.
Mia Winters.
Ethan's wife. She used to be a member of an organization and was involved in the Baker Mansion incident in the previous film.
Rosemary Winters, the Winters' only daughter. She was taken away by Chris.
Chris Redfield.
A former member of the special forces unit S.T.A.R.S. He has been fighting bioterrorism around the world since the incident in the Arkley Mountains in the first film "Resident Evil". Currently, he is a member of the BSAA, an anti-bioterrorism unit. One day, he attacks the Winters' home and kidnaps their daughter, but his purpose is unknown.
Houndwolf, an elite unit led by Chris
Orcina Dmitrescu.
The lord of the castle in the center of the village. She has a bewitching appearance and is tall enough to look up at. She is one of the four noble families that serve Mother Miranda.
Salvatore Moreau
A monster who resides in an artificial lake, he is one of the four noble families. He covers his deformed appearance with a robe.
Donna Beneviento
A puppeteer who lives in a mansion in a misty valley. She wears black clothes like mourning clothes and manipulates a puppet named Angie. One of the four noble families
Karl Heisenberg
An engineer who lives in a factory on the outskirts of the village. He is one of the Four Nobles, but his rough manner and huge hammer are far from the nobility of the nobility.
The Duke
A merchant who appears here and there in the village. He deals in a variety of goods.
Mother Miranda
The ruler of the four noble families. Her true face is hidden behind a mask. Her true identity is shrouded in mystery, but the villagers have great faith in her.
A survival horror film about surviving in a remote village
The Village" incorporates a variety of elements to combat looming threats. As in previous titles in the series, the focus is on how to get by with limited items and under limited conditions. Before the release of the full version of the game, be sure to memorize the necessary elements.
The "Isolated View" (subjective viewpoint) that was popular in "Bio 7" is still present in this title. The combination of horror and subjectivity fuels extreme fear. Crafting elements, such as combining specific items to make ammunition and herbs, have been retained from the previous title.
Up to four weapons can be assigned to the directional keys.
At Duke's store, not only can items be purchased, but weapons can also be modified. The item slots are like attache cases, where players store their items and think about what and how much they want to carry. The merchant transactions and item slots show the influence of "Resident Evil 4".
The Mercenaries," in which players kick the crap out of enemies to earn a score.
The Mercenaries," a game that has become a series favorite since its first appearance in "Resident Evil 3," has been implemented in this title as well. The Mercenaries" is an exclusive action-shooting game in which players compete to see how many enemies they can defeat within a time limit while aiming for the finish line. Players must complete multiple stages, and if they complete the final stage, they will be rewarded with a luxurious prize.
Duke's store also appears in this game, as well as abilities such as "increased movement speed" and "increased attack power of specific gun types. The game offers a great deal of replayability, with numerous options for players to combine weapons and abilities, and to build tactics for each stage. This content will be released after the main story is cleared.

The Village" is even more powerful and voluminous than its predecessor, as it "completes Ethan's story." The demo version of the game, "BIOHAZARD VILLAGE Gameplay Demo," is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, so those who are interested can touch that. The game will be playable until May 10, so keep an eye on the deadline.
If you are starting with "Resident Evil" from this title, we recommend that you first play "Bio 7" or watch "The Memory of BIOHAZARD7" posted by Capcom's official channel on YouTube. The story of "Bio 7" is very relevant to this film, and with prior knowledge, you will fully enjoy "The Village.
