Original TV anime "RE-MAIN" scheduled to air from July 3, 2021. Seishi Nishida, who wrote the script for "TIGER & BUNNY" and other anime, will serve as the original writer, general director, series composition, script writer for all episodes, and sound director, and will join forces with MAPPA, an animation production company that continues to produce high-profile works such as "Jujutsu Kaisen," to create the first full-scale water polo TV anime that no one has ever seen. The team is taking on the challenge of creating the first full-scale water polo TV animation that no one has ever seen before.

The main character, Minato Shimizu, quits water polo after an incident in the winter of his junior year of high school. He enters high school, and a promise he made to his friends leads him to start playing water polo with them. However, the weak water polo club faces various difficulties.

Broadcast information, key visuals, and character and cast information have been released, and the series will begin airing on July 3, 2021, every Saturday at 1:30 a.m. on "NUMAnimation," a 24-nation network on the Asahi Television network.

Minato Shimizu (cv: Yusho Kamimura)
A former water polo player who left the sport after a certain incident. Eitaro and Yuzuru are pressuring him to join the water polo club.

Eitaro Oka (cv: Koutaro Nishiyama)
Minato's junior in junior high school. He knows Minato from his past. He enrolls in Yamanami High School because of his admiration for Minato.

Jo Jojima (cv: Subaru Kimura)
Captain of the water polo team at Yamanan High School, where Minato has just entered. He tries to get Minato into the water polo club.

Kawakubo Chinu (cv: Lynn)
A famous water polo player who has been featured in the media. She knows Minato's past.

He is a brilliant and cool guy. He was a competitive swimmer in junior high school.

He is a noisy, hot-blooded man who is quick to pick a fight. He was a member of the baseball club in junior high school.

He has a Nigerian father. He is gentle and kind-hearted.

Yoshiharu Ushimado (cv: Daisuke Hirose) is a shy man who is not good at putting himself out there.

Keita Kakihana (cv: Tak Yatsushiro)
Minato's teammate in junior high school. She is like a "mother" who kindly watches over everyone.

Riku Momosaki (cv: Yuma Uchida)
A teammate of Minato's from junior high school. He is currently the ace of the Akebono Gakkan High School water polo team.
