In "Red" (original story by Zappon/illustration by Yasumo), the hero Red, who was kicked out of the heroes' party by his fellow wise men for not being a true comrade, goes to the frontier with Rit, a tomboy princess who comes over to the party and starts a medicinal herb business in a remote area. He opens a herb shop in a remote area and begins a second life in this slow-life fantasy. It has been serialized on the novel submission site "Kobusetsu-ka Naro" (Compact Novelist) and ranked first in the high fantasy section in 2018 in its annual ranking.

The TV anime was scheduled to start airing in July 2021, but the schedule was changed to October. It will be directed by Makoto Hoshino, with series composition by Kei Kiyomizu, character design by Ruriko Watanabe, and animation production by Wolfsbane and Studio Flood.

Newly revealed characters are the people living in the frontier town of Zordan. The characters are played by Kohei Amasaki as Albert, Mahiro Yamanaka as Gonz, Yu Serizawa as Tanta, Aozora Tokui as Nao, and Ken Mitsushina as Mido.

Husband of Nao and a father of Tanta. He is a retired adventurer and a carpenter.
