Greg Pak's science fiction comic "Mech Cadet Yu" will be animated! Animation production will be handled by Polygon Pictures.

Polygon Pictures has announced that it will produce the animation series MECH CADETS, based on the science fiction comic "Mech Cadet Yu" (Boom! Studio) by Greg Park and Takeshi Miyazawa.

Since its establishment in July 1983, Polygon Pictures has been Japan's largest digital animation studio engaged in the production of cutting-edge entertainment films with the mission of "doing what no one else is doing with overwhelming quality for the world to see. Including its production base in Malaysia, "Silver Ant PPI Sdn. Bhd. Bhd., a production base in Malaysia. They are passionate about content creation, making full use of the latest technology. Their representative works include "GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters", "Knights of Sidonia", "Ajin", "BLAME!", "Star Wars: Resistance", and "Pingu in the City".

The upcoming animated series "Mech Cadets" is set on Earth after it is attacked by a space race, and tells the story of Stanford Yu, a young boy working at a military academy, who becomes a pilot of a giant robot to fight against the space race with his friends.
Boom! Studios, publisher of "Mech Cadet Yu" in the U.S., provided full cooperation in the production of the animation. The script and executive producer is Aaron Lam of "Spartacus: God of Arena" (2011) and "Deadly Ghosts Returns" (2018).

Fifty years from now, in a world after the Earth has been attacked by a terrifying space race. Stanford Yu, a young boy working as a janitor at the Sky Core Military Academy, has only one dream that he really wants to fulfill. That dream was to become the pilot of Robo-Mech, a giant robot that came from outer space to save the Earth. Eventually, this dream becomes a reality, and Stanford and his classmates join forces to protect mankind from a new threat from a space race.
