New Anime "Natsume's Book of Friends: Ishizukake and the Mysterious Visitor" to be exclusively available on U-NEXT starting today, May 26th!

The video distribution service "U-NEXT" began exclusive distribution of the new animation "Natsume's Book of Friends: Ishikake and the Mysterious Visitor" today, May 26, 2021 (Wednesday).

Two years after the theatrical version of "Natsume's Book of Friends" was released in 2018, "Natsume's Book of Friends: Ishi Wake-up and the Mysterious Visitor," which features two fan-favorite short episodes in an omnibus format, will be screened in theaters. The much-anticipated new episode, "Natsume's Book of Friends: Ishi Wake-up and the Mysterious Visitor," is now available exclusively on U-NEXT starting today, May 26 (Wed.).

In the forest, Natsume meets Mitsumi, a small yokai.
She says that she has been assigned the role of "Ishi-okusei," or "stone awakening," to awaken a divine yokai named Iwatetsu from his deep slumber.
However, Nyanko-sensei and the other yokai begin plotting to usurp the role.
Natsume, who is concerned about Mitsumi, decides to help...

The mysterious visitor

A mysterious visitor appears at Tanuma's place. He visits Tanuma every day, talks with him for a while, and then leaves.
When Natsume learns that the visitor is a yokai, she is worried about Tanuma, but Tanuma has come to enjoy interacting with the yokai.
It seems that the yokai does not intend to do anything bad, but little by little Tanuma's health deteriorates - and he is not happy.
