The "Umamusume" Challenge! Smart Falcon] Falco's hot Umadoru activities continue! (Part 2) "Hop, Step, Challenge - Taurus Cup!
This article wants to make Smart Falcon Falco a top Umadoll (Umamusume Idol)! I want her to shine brighter than anyone else! is the purpose of this article.
Last time,
"If there is even a 1% chance, I want to challenge for Satsuki-sho."
Falco's dream was ended up in 9th place.

She will only be able to run in the Satsuki-sho, the Classic Triple Crown, once in her life as an Umamusume. Her efforts and dreams later blossomed on the stage of dirt tracks. ...... In this game, you can always try again and again, even if you gave up on your dream once. No matter how difficult it will be, I will make Falco win Satsuki-sho and let her sing "winning the soul"!
I was able to do it.
I sang it (it was great, but I forgot to take pictures of the live performance).
Editor A: It's over, isn't it?
Nakazato: It's over now.
Smart Falcon's aptitude for turf is E, and it is almost impossible for him to win Satsuki-sho as it is. So, we have to raise his turf aptitude by "factor inheritance." ...... Actually, Akiba Research Institute once did a project to challenge Harulara's Arimakinen. Harulara's aptitude for turf was "G". In order to take on an even harder challenge, our team and friends already had parent horsema-musume specialized in turf aptitude waiting in the wings. By inheriting the factor at the start of training, Falco's turf aptitude and dirt aptitude were both A, and in 5 seconds, a two-faced horse girl like Otani San was born.
Falco is a horse with top-class potential. As long as she has turf aptitude, it is not difficult for her to win the Satsuki-sho, and if anything, she could easily win the Japan Derby.
Editor A: She could also win the Kikka-sho and aim for the Triple Crown of Classic races?
Nakazato: Falco's long-distance aptitude is E, so the difficulty level is much higher. However, Smart Falcon's (turf aptitude E, long-distance aptitude E) Triple Crown challenge is compared to Haru Urala's (turf aptitude G, long-distance aptitude G) Arimakinen challenge.
Editor A: It might be a bit weak. ......
And just when the project was about to be abandoned, the next event was announced in "Uma Musume Pretty Derby. The name of the event was the "Taurus Cup," the first competitive event that focused on races against other people. It occurred to me that a genuine one-time-only event with no retries would be more exciting than the Satsuki-sho challenge, which can be completed in a matter of hours. So, this time, I'd like to change the Satsuki-sho Challenge to....
Challenge, winning the Taurus Cup Platinum with Falco!
The Taurus Cup is the first "Uma Musume Pretty Derby" versus race event, where teams of three Uma Musume compete against each other in a three-way, nine-team battle. The stage of the race is "Tokyo Racecourse, turf, middle distance (2400m)". Falco can compete in the race as she is suitable for mile to middle distance. Ho-ho-ho.
At first glance, this event is similar to the team competitions that we play every day, but in the team competitions, complicated factors such as the ranking of each of the three members on the team and the points awarded for activating skills affect the results. The Taurus Cup has an extremely simple and easy-to-understand system: "The team with the Uma Musume that comes in first in a nine-player race wins.
The first thing I thought when I saw this system was that the importance of "debuffs" would change. The word "buff" refers to a skill that strengthens an ally, and when you add the negative prefix "de" to it, "debuff" becomes a generic term for a skill that weakens an opponent.
In a team race, the Uma Musume in charge of debuffing is also expected to place high, so it is important to strike a balance between racing ability and debuffing ability. However, in the Taurus Cup, as long as one of the team members wins first place, the other team members can win even if they are in eighth or ninth place, so it is possible to have one or two debuffers on the team.
Therefore, we will build our team with the idea that debuffs may be rampant in the Taurus Cup environment. First, let's start with the division of roles on the team. The configuration of two debuffers and one ace is romantic, but if the ace is in poor to very poor form, we are likely to lose the race without being able to do anything. Let's use two ace horsewomen who can develop different races, and a debuffer.
The ace is Falco, or Smart Falcon! This is a basic concept, so don't bother. As for the second ace, it would be better to choose a horse girl who can win when Falco cannot win. Since Falco specializes in speed and power, we are worried that she will run out of stamina when her opponents debuff her. Therefore, I trained a black horse, White McQueen, as a leading type with better stamina than Falco. The image I had in mind was that Falco and her opponent, a runaway horse girl, would race each other to exhaustion, and then Missusama would fend her off. Fortunately, I was able to raise McQueen, whose turf aptitude and middle-distance aptitude are both S, after the first few times of training. I was even able to pull in the recovery skill from Anshin Sasaharishi, making her a perfect back-up.
For the third person, if you think of debuffing in the medium range, you think of Natya (because she has two gold debuffs, "Enchanting Whisper" and "Eightfold Glare"), right? That's why I chose her. Falko, McQueen, and Ms. Necha are quite an idol-like unit, aren't they? The competing team members are as follows.
Since Falco (A+) is the ace of the team, the league in which they will participate is automatically the unrestricted graded league. We immediately entered Team Falco in the first round of the "Grade League Round 1," which is the first round of the qualifying rounds. ......
Since we could belong to Group A if we could win three races at least once, we decided to test our races in this environment for the remainder of the challenge. After carefully looking at the race development, we found the following.
●Black McQueen.
Mr. Necha's debuffing was not familiar to us as a team.
Usually, in the final straight, McQueen fends off Falco and takes first place. ...... McQueen wins 3 races and Falco wins about 1. I'm going to disregard this as a result of Falco's leadership in calling out to her before the race.
As for Nice Nature, the debuff is in effect and she is strong, but it is only completed by Nature alone. This team is only Falco's team, so we will consider debuffs that can support Falco.
The most common pattern for Falco to lose is when they are late at the start, or when they have an early lead over a more capable fleeing horse. Falco's unique skill "Kira Kira☆STARDOM" is activated when she is about to lose first place and is competing, so she has no chance to win if the race proceeds below second place in the first place.
To support the escaping horses, we changed the members, thinking that it would be more effective to slow down the opposing team instead of using the stamina down type debuffs that are common.
Here is the new member, the chasing Glass Wonder. The left one is the early version, and it proved to be effective, so we added the right specialized version in the latter half of the season. When he is in the rear, his charm is his "monopoly power" that reduces the speed of all the horses in front of him. With the restriction that it is limited to mid-distance and when in the rear, it is very powerful to be able to reduce speed regardless of the opponents' leg quality! Glass Wonder's original leg quality is to run in front, but we raised her pursuit aptitude to make it easier to activate her monopoly power (it was a bit of a challenge).
When it comes to specializing in debuffing, it is tempting to put many debuffing skills in a row and make the skill column red, but this time, I thought about how to make the speed reductions "Running Hesitation," "Leading Hesitation," and "Monopoly Power" as highly probable as possible. I hear rumors on the wind that Gold Ship is said to be strong in the Taurus Cup, but what I found tough on the qualifying trail is a well-honed escape horse, represented by Mihono Bourbon. Our rival Golsi often failed to reach McQueen here and finished second, so this time we specialized in countermeasures against running and leading.
This configuration worked out well, and we were able to win Grade A Round 2 at a pace of 4-1-5 wins. When Biwa Hayahide, who was clearly ahead of us in terms of status, was running around the last corner in a race that would normally be a losing pattern, it was a great feeling when Falco turned the tables on him by activating "hesitation" and "monopoly power" at the same time. The speed reduction debuff is very visible, so I would like you to try it out.
And so we came to the Taurus Cup, Grade A final. As far as I can tell from looking up his past races in the Monthly Twinkle (the in-game horse racing newspaper), it looks like he will have an advantage in the race. However, there are many ways in which a team can end up in the race after being late to the start of a race with all the other teams in bad shape. The tension of this competition, in which "no do-overs" are allowed, makes the competitors wait for the start of the race. You will be facing off against a Falko. Thinking foolishly, "Falko's chance of winning has doubled. ......," the Taurus Cup final, Falko's big day, was about to begin!
The best start here was made by the white meat McQueen. She even activated her Spring Uma Musume XX, which she poured her remaining points into as a good luck charm. It's reassuring when a talented rider gets off to a perfect start. Falco also activated her "pioneer" and slinked up to the front. This is a great start.
There are many rivals who are also running away, but they take the lead at the start, and they pile on the advantage with Glass Wonder's running away ken-suppression and other skills. At first glance, this is a simple Kensei skill, but I think it will work like a body blow in a mirror match such as Falco vs.
Escape Hesitation + Preceding Hesitation + Monopoly Power! It's a winning pattern that is a little too good to be true. Falco is here! Falco is here! Falco's time has come! I'm at .......
Oh, there's a half-empty horse girl with her feet stashed away. ......
The first rocket.
The second rocket.
The lady is coming up behind Falco in a heap. The purple one is not an aura of darkness, but a debuff from one of her opponents. She continues to accelerate, undaunted.
It was the usual pattern of being overtaken by an ally in the final straight line. As a Falco project article, it was a bit of a disappointment, but as Team Falco, it was the best result we could have hoped for, a one-two finish. We were also happy to draw Oguri Cap and White McQueen in the gacha that we turned in with our Taurus Cup prize jewels, which is a good omen!
The young lady got a new outfit from her own winnings. And Falco, the Silence Suzuka of the sands, won a great race on the turf (as a team)! And with that, I would like to conclude this article.
