Reviewing four new songs by unique voice actress units - Yuu Serizawa with DJ KOO & MOTSU, DiverDiva, Photon Maiden, and Run Girls, Run! Seiyu Artists Bulletin May 2021

In this May 2021 issue, we would like to introduce four singles by "voice-over artist units" with a focus on their unique characteristics.

◆Masaru Serizawa with DJ KOO & MOTSU single "EVERYBODY! EVERYBODY!/YOU YOU YOU YOU" (May 19)

This month's issue especially introduces the opening/ending theme of the TV anime "Isekai Maou to Sumo Shoujo to Slave Majutsu Omega" by a special unit newly formed by some of the best "yo-kas" in the industry.

The strong will to "beat up all the listeners" in the song can be said to be the company's corporate culture. EVERYBODY! EVERYBODY!" could be called "avex's new company song" in relation to the label to which Yu Serizawa and the other members belong. It is a highly luminous dance tune with a gorgeous synth loop reminiscent of the "avex" sound of the past that will make your heart soar. The song's structure is also reminiscent of the manner in which avex has built up its music over the years, starting with a light, chorus-like A melody, interspersed with a rap part, and then a gentle tempo B melody that quickly builds to a chorus.

The B-melody is also skillfully crafted to give the impression of "nostalgic yet new," with details of the track and Motsu's trap-style rap flow, which has become popular in recent years. Above all, the quality of Serizawa's carefree and carefree voice is an irreplaceable part of anime songs that can only be enjoyed now that anime songs have become so popular. Her attitude as an artist who is not intimidated by veteran talent, but rather enjoys stretching out and expressing herself, is also a testament to her self-proclaimed "Serizo's No. 1" status.

YOU YOU YOU" is an electro-pop tune that depicts the feelings of a boy who becomes jealous because of his love for a girl and a girl who finds it endearing to see him jealous. The song can be seen as an answer song to "You & Me" by Yukari Tamura and Motsu, a song that Serizawa herself says she loves.

DiverDiva 2nd single "THE SECRET NiGHT

Next up was "Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Club", a "unit within a unit" song.

DiverDiva, composed of Karin Asaka (CV: Miyu Kubota) and Ai Miyashita (CV: Natsumi Murakami), is a promising duo that has produced such masterpieces as "Love Triangle" so far. Their new song "THE SECRET NiGHT" is based on the bubbly K-POP sound of their previous works, but with lyrics from a slightly high-flying perspective that is uniquely theirs. Ai Miyashita's rap, which has become a staple of the group, and Karin Asaka's mature, ecstasy-inducing voice create a seductive atmosphere, and the sound of the song is accompanied by the "Love Live! The sound of the song is reminiscent of A-RISE, a unit that appeared in the "Love Live!

The coupling track "Fly into the sky" is a stylish future pop song with a dreamy atmosphere. Em.me, who wrote and arranged the song, is the creator of the TV anime song "Butterfly," which became a hot topic when he brought out the infinite possibilities between Akari Kito (played by Kanata Omi) and future bass. Although his true identity has yet to be revealed, the songs on this album make it clear that he is more than just an ordinary person.

Photon Maiden's 2nd single "Be with the world" (May 19)

D4DJ picked up Photon Maiden's new release. The title track was produced by Ryouhei Sataka, who has become a familiar face in their work.

Photon Maiden has long been a unit that has pioneered future bass, but this time they took on the challenge of big room and progressive house that was popular in the 2010s. This time, however, they took on the big room/progressive house sound popular in the 2010s, featuring a heavy synth lead with noise, the kind of sound one might expect when hearing the word "EDM.

The song also features a country touch with an acoustic guitar melody, and is similar to the song "A lot of life" from the first single, with a sensibility closer to that of The Chainsmokers." The girls have been creating uppery, yet somehow mysterious songs about the "universe," so perhaps an encounter with a sound like this one was inevitable.

Rasmus Faber finally descended on "D4DJ" as well! He is a Swedish music producer known for his work on Ai Nakajima's "TRY UNITE!" and Marei Uchida's "adventure bleu," among others, and his participation in this year's song "Wonder Wonder Trip" is a "world trip The song also features a cute and innocent chorus, as if Photon Maiden is enjoying girl talk, as well as cool synthesizers that seem to gently stroke the surface of the water, and a drum'n'bass beat that overlaps the synthesizers. The song is a masterpiece that allows the listener to fully enjoy Rasmus's unique style.

D4DJ" has come as far as it will go. ......

Run Girls, Run! 8th single "Dreaming Channel! (May 19, 2010 release)

The title song was used as the opening theme for the TV anime "Kiratto Pri☆Chan. Run Girls, Run! has sung the opening theme song for the past three years, and the final episode will be released on May 30, 2021. As one of the songs for the culmination of the series, "Dreaming☆Channel! is a guitar rock song that can be considered a royal idol song, aiming to go back to the starting point of "Kiratto Start," the song where the girls first met in the series.

In terms of the lyrics, the song is particularly well-known for its lyrics, such as "Why don't you try it? The dream never ends! I feel the emotionality of the lyrics, especially in the phrase, "Your dream will never end! It is as if the song is raising hopes for a bright future, as if to strongly inspire the listeners that "the goal is the moment to stand on a new starting line.

Run Girls, Run! was formed as a sister group to Wake Up, Girls! How many tears do they have to bring?

For the coupling song "Infinity Runner," see the interview below, but member Koko Hayashi says of the song, "In 'Kakeru x Kakeru,' which was also our first song, we were singing 'I want to chase you,' and we were chasing you, catching up with you, and finally coming to the point where we could stand up to you. I even said, "I feel like we've finally come to a point where we can finally stand up to each other" (See: The culmination of three years of "Pri☆Chan" songs! The new OP theme of "Kiratto Pri☆Chan" "Dreaming☆Channel! CD release commemoration, interview with Run Girls, Run!) Throughout the entire single, it is such a monumental piece of ...... that tries to look back on the important past in order to continue to grow in the future.
