Murata is a senior member of the Onigakitai who served with Sumijiro and others at Nada Spider Mountain. In Versus Mode, Murata uses "water breathing" and his unique skills (cheering).

The visuals for each character in the game were created by Cyber Connect Two, the developer of the game, based on the 3D models in the game.
