A monumental item for Diaclone's 40th anniversary! An in-depth review of the "Battle Convoy V-MAX! Part 2 [Taiyuki's Toys and Games Vol. 10
In this popular series, voice actor Yasuyuki, who loves robots more than any other voice actor in the industry, plays around with the latest toy toys and hobbies that interest him!
Continuing from the previous installment, this time we introduce a new item commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Diaclone series, the "Battle Convoy V-MAX"!
In the second part of the series, we will review the robot form and container in detail!
⇒In the second part, we will take a closer look at the robot form and container!
A monumental item for the 40th anniversary of Diaclone! A detailed review of the "Battle Convoy V-MAX"! Part 1 [Taiyuki's Toys and Games Vol. 9
A close-up of the upper body. The detailed paint work, including the head, is excellent. As expected of the latest Diaclone items!
The legs are very sturdy. The stability of the legs is amazing.
You can see several joints on the back. I would have liked to have the Verstrizer series here!
The tires on the legs are a typical Battle Convoy style.
The head is movable. The head rotates smoothly, but can only be tilted up, down, left, and right a little. If you lift up the entire pedestal, the head can be tilted up, but only to a certain extent.
The shoulders can be rotated 360 degrees and the arms can be raised 90 degrees horizontally. The shoulder swing is built into the shoulder, not the torso.
Roll rotation with the two arms. The elbow also bends this far, though not 180°.
The wrist rotates on an axis at the base. Four fingers are integrated, but can be opened and closed. The weapon is held by inserting it into the joint and closing the fingers. Excellent holding power.
The waist can rotate on an axis at the connection of the red, silver, and blue parts.
Legs are movable. Forward about 90°, back about 45°, knees about 90°, with roll rotation axis at the thigh.
The ankles are quite grounded, especially since they can be bent inward significantly.
Two shots with the first Battle Convoy. Nope~. It has evolved! Except for the color scheme, they are completely different. That's not surprising. It's been about 40 years of evolution.
The powerful pose suits it well.
The super-robot-like angle is also cool.
She can stand on one leg and also ......
He can also stand on one knee.
He also shows some action with a gun!
There is a grenade-like structure under the barrel. This part is also jointed, so you can combine it with other parts from other Diaclone models.
This is how it looks like when getting on and off in this form.
Incidentally, the Bollet Core B can also be docked.
From here, the position of the leg panels has been changed, as it is Taiyuki's original mode.
How about we call it Battle Convoy V-MAX Gunner mode?
Chest missile hatch deployed. The cannon cannon of Bollet Core B and the triple cannon of the abdomen also fire forward as one shot!
Furthermore, using the joints on the back, I came up with an original mode.
Here is the V-MAX Mech Mode. What do you think? It looks like it is good at gunfire.
There are more to come! Next, the "D.F.O. (Directive-Flying-Orbiter)" is transformed into a command plane.
The left and right sides of the disk-shaped D.F.O. are unfolded to complete the transformation!
Finally, the container machine appears! Transforms and combines into a podgrinder!
Deploy the outriggers on the sides of the container and unlock the rear hatch.
The container is opened.
Dock the D.F.O. in the front of the container.
Close the container again and attach the turret parts.
The container machine, Podgrinder, is complete. It is already a fortress. It would be quite powerful if this thing comes at you with a thud.
The rear hatch can hold the MAX-02.
The crawler part can be equipped with a battle bike (sold separately). A total of four bikes can be stored. Also, the crawler has a roller underneath, so you can roll it around and play with it. It's a great way to play "boondoggle!
What's more, the upper body of the Battle Convoy can be combined with this giant mecha.
How much fun can you have with it!
Simply deploy the arm on the front of the container and connect the main body of Battle Convoy A to the convex joint in the center!
The battle mothership Rhino Grander is complete! This is a mecha that sounds just like a mothership!
Next!
Docking with the M.A.V., it merges into scramble link mode!
Here it comes! It's a Battle Convoy, here!
Compared to the original Battle Convoy, see ......! Wow~! Just a hint of nostalgia in the new! I'm so happy! This makes me happy!
And finally, the final form. We will assemble one example of the large mobile base mode!
The bottom of the command unit can be moved up and down by pressing the red button. Here, we will reverse the back and forth once and return it to its original height.
Then, the ramp that was folded inside the container is unfolded and each accessory is attached to the joint! You are really free to choose where to place what, so please find your favorite placement considering functionality and other factors.
The cockpit of the command plane slides down to become the command seat. It's amazing; it moves straight from the D.F.O. to the container.
Two sets of parts for the crane are included. A wider crane can be assembled by using the connecting joints.
The smaller ramp of the container is removable and can be connected to the front one.
We needed more manpower, so the people from Diabattles V2 came to help us. Checking out the combat bike (sold separately).
A member of the team talking to a roughneck while working.
The hangar of the Bollet core.
V-MAX on the maintenance deck.
Command plane extended up and on alert.
I think this is based on this very first Battle Convoy, but as expected of the latest model, this base has greatly improved play value.
The container can be disassembled as shown here by removing the connecting joints. If you have the container itself or another V-MAX, which is sold separately, you can get it at .......
You can assemble such a super huge pod grander. Or rather, you can connect them infinitely. !!!!!
If you expand the containers, you can build this area! I put my Diaclone mecha on it.
It looks like it can carry a lot of power.
So, what do you think of the Diaclone "Battle Convoy V-MAX"?
There must be many Diaclone owners who have been thinking, "I want a base. For such people, this Battle Convoy V-MAX will surely become one of the items that represent Diaclone as well as the first Battle Convoy.
Although it has been only a few years since the release of the first model in the resumed series, "DiaBATTLES V2," I felt that the ease of play has evolved even further.
Another appeal of the game is its expandability. For those who already have multiple Diachrons, I think this will greatly expand the scope of play.
The addition of containers is especially hot. I, too, would love to try my hand at playing with bases by getting multiple container bodies together!
