To celebrate the release of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Senko no Hathaway" on June 11, 2021 (Friday), a project to receive comments from past Gundam pilots has started, the first of which is a comment video by Toru Furuya, who plays Amuro Ray.

It has been 33 years since "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack," which depicted the final battle between Amuro and Char. The novel "Mobile Suit Gundam: Senko no Hathaway" by Yoshiyuki Tomino, which strongly inherits the worldview of that film, has been made into a long-awaited movie. After several postponements, "Mobile Suit Gundam: Senko no Hathaway" will finally be released tomorrow, June 11 (Friday).

To commemorate the 1.05 million registered users of the Gundam Channel and to celebrate the release of "Senko no Hathaway," the channel has launched a project to receive comments from Gundam pilots of the past.

The first comment video is from Toru Furuya, who plays the role of Amuro Rey, the most famous Gundam pilot.

Mr. Furuya talks a lot about what the Gundam series means to him, "Hathaway Noah," and his message to the fans. At the end of the video, he also delivers a certain line of dialogue, making the video well worth watching.

In addition, comments from Kensho Ono, who plays Hathaway Noah, Rena Ueda, who plays Gigi Andalusia, and Junichi Suwabe, who plays Kenneth Slegg, were released just before the release of the film. Twelve years have passed since the end of the Second Neo Zeon War (Char's Rebellion) in U.C. 0105-. Even after the "Axis Shock," which seemed to indicate the future of humanity and the cosmic century, the world is still in a state of confusion, and military conflicts are still occurring intermittently.
