Two Pokemon manhole "Poke Lids" appeared in Tokyo! Sequentially, they will become PokeStops in "Pokemon GO"!

Two new Pokemon manhole "Poke-lids" have appeared in Tokyo.

Starting with the installation of an "Eevee" manhole in Ibusuki City, Kagoshima Prefecture, in December 2018, there are now 169 "PokeLids" in 15 prefectures. Many people enjoy visiting the "Poke-lids. They will continue to be installed in various places in the future, with the aim of simultaneously communicating the attractiveness of each region and each Pokémon to people in Japan and overseas.

⇒Five Pokemon manhole "Poke-lids" have appeared in Kyoto! They will be used as PokeStops in "Pokemon GO" sequentially!

This time, one manhole is newly installed in front of the National Museum of Nature and Science and one in front of the Tokyo National Museum. The "PokeLid" in front of the National Museum of Nature and Science depicts Chigoras and Sonano, while the "PokeLid" in front of the Tokyo National Museum depicts Yajilon and Dormirer, each with a unique image of each museum.

Each "Poke-lid" is an original design, and each manhole is one-of-a-kind. They will continue to be installed for years and decades to come. As with the more than 150 "POKELIDS" that have already been installed in various parts of Japan, it is hoped that the "POKELIDS" will serve as an opportunity for many people around the country and the world to learn about the appeal of Pokémon and the charms of each region.

The "Pokélids" will gradually become PokéStops in the location-based game "Pokémon GO" for smartphones. For details on locations and scheduled installation dates, check the PokéLid website.
