The release date for "Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie" has been set. A teaser visual has also been released.

Jujutsu Kaisen" is a very popular manga series by Shimoshi Akutomi, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump", which has sold more than 50 million copies (as of June 4, 2021). The TV anime series based on the manga was broadcast on October 2, 2020, on the "Super Anime-ism" slot of the MBS/TBS network with 28 stations nationwide, and has earned the highest viewership rating in the MBS/TBS late-night anime slot in history. The number of viewers for the flat-rate video distribution service as a whole continues to be high, and both the original work and the anime continue to create a movement.

The theatrical release date of "Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie" was finally announced at the special event "Juju Fest 2021" held on June 13, 2021 (Sun.) at the Kawaguchi Sogo Bunka Center Lilia Main Hall.

The announcement of the theatrical version was included in the video aired during the last episode of the TV anime, in which the film's important character Natsuyasu Jie said, "On December 24th, we will perform the Hyakki Yagyo. The film will be released in Toho theaters nationwide on December 24 (Friday), an important date for "Jujutsu Kaisen" fans.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie" is a prequel to "Jujutsu Kaisen" and a film adaptation of "Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Metropolitan College of Jujutsu and Magic," which was written by Akutomi Shimozu as a short serialization before the main series. It was published in book form as "Volume 0," and was an exceptionally big hit as a single volume comic book.

Jujutsu Kaisen" is a manga work by Akutomi Shimoji, serialized in Shueisha's "Weekly Shonen Jump" magazine.
