Popular Sylvanian Family items are now mini-modeled! I played with "Sylvanian Families Mini Series: House on Soyokaze Hill"! Shokugan Road Vol. 21

Hello everyone!

This is Kariyasu☆, a hobby writer. In this corner, I'll be reviewing, remodeling, and playing around with some of the toys and miniatures that interest me, under the theme of "Shokugan for Adults. In this 21st installment, we will be looking at the "Sylvanian Families Mini Series: House on Soyokaze Hill," which is currently on sale from Kabaya!

Welcome to the House on Soyokaze Hill!

The lawn sheet is not included in the product.

Sylvanian Families is a popular series by Epoch that has been overwhelmingly supported by girls and adult doll fans alike since its release in 1985. Did you know that this series is now available as miniature plastic kits from Kabaya?

The mini series is an easy-to-assemble plastic kit that maintains the charm of the original Sylvanian dolls, but in a smaller size for a more affordable price. The parts are pre-colored, and the room wallpaper and mats can be easily reproduced with stickers. Anyone with nippers can quickly create a cute house!

In addition, the contents of the box are also clearly shown, so there is no need to worry about duplicates!

Incidentally, there are two versions of the "Soyokaze House": a renewed version just released in May, and an older version that was released in the past.

The rooms and furniture of both the old and new versions are the same, so there are no problems in combining and playing with them, but the colors of the furniture, the design of the stickers, and the characters included are slightly different. If you already have the old version of Soyokaze Hill House, you may want to buy the renewal version again to redecorate the rooms and play with additional characters!

Here are the kit introductions (the renewal version is labeled "new" and the old version is labeled "old").

Baby Room and Baby Chocolat Rabbit (Clem)] (New)

Includes crib, building blocks, picture book, wooden horse, teddy bear, and play kitchen!

What shall we play with today~!

Child Room and Silk Cat Girl (Tiffany-chan)] (New)

Comes with bed, mirror stand and brush

We're going shopping in town today, so I have to get all dressed up!

Mmm, it's a beautiful day~! Good morning, little birdie!

Kitchen and Silk Cat Girl] (Old)

Kitchen, pots, table and chairs are included!

What shall we have for lunch today?

Oh, hello, welcome! I just baked an apple pie. Would you like to join us?

[Living room and baby chocolate rabbit] (Old)

Comes with TV, sofa, books, table and cups!

I've been obsessed with cooking shows lately. I need to learn how to help my mom as soon as possible!

There's nothing like a nice cup of tea while sitting in the sun!

All four of the above items can be collected together to make one big house!

"You two, it's almost dinner time, so you'd better clean up quickly."

"Okay! See you tomorrow for the rest of the play-doh.

"Okay. What's for dinner today?

I made the parts myself!

I wanted to put my original furniture (play equipment), so I decided to make my own "stump" that would match the Sylvanian world!

Kneaded epoxy putty and shaped it with a spatula. Resin clay can also be used as a substitute.

Since the shape of the stump is simple, I duplicated it using "Oyumaru," a plastic clay that can be freely reshaped with hot water, and UV resin. The process is quite simple.

(1) Place the Oyumaru in boiling water to soften it (be careful not to burn yourself!).

(2) Put the Oyumaru on the part you want to duplicate and let it cool down.

(3) When the Oyumaru has cooled and hardened, remove the contents and pour UV resin into the completed mold.

*Resin solution may cause allergies, so be careful not to let it come in direct contact with your skin, and we recommend wearing a mask and ventilating the area well just to be safe.

(4) Expose the resin to UV light firmly, and when it is properly cured, take it out to complete the copy! If burrs have formed, shape them with a file or the like.

Oyumaru and UV resin are sold at 100-yen stores, so they are easy on the wallet. UV lights cost about 1,000 yen at the cheapest, but once you buy one, you can use it forever, so it is very cost-effective. Also, if you are allergic to resin, you can use resin clay or other materials instead of UV resin.

Prepare the base by applying CREOS water-based surfacer, then brush on the wood color. I also painted the annual rings with a brush!

The commercial lawn sheets worked well and matched nicely! The size is just right too!

Today we all had a party in the garden!

Well, how was it? If you have fond memories of playing with Sylvanian as a child, if you wanted one but never got one and have grown up without one, or if you have recently become interested in dollhouses and miniatures, this is the kit for you. If you buy this kit, you can become a resident of Sylvanian Village right away!

Well then, we will see you again!
