My Hero Academia" the Movie Trailer Movie Released! The theme song is "Empathy" by ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION!

The trailer and theme song information for the theatrical version of "My Hero Academia: The Movie World Hero's Mission," which will hit the road on August 6, 2021 (Friday), have been released.

My Hero Academia" has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since July 2014. The series has sold more than 50 million copies worldwide in 30 volumes, and the fifth season of the TV anime is currently airing every Saturday evening from 5:30 p.m. The series is set in a world where about 8.5% of the total population lives in poverty.


The story takes place in a world where approximately 80% of the total population possesses the supernatural ability of "individuality. Many young people dream of becoming heroes, a profession that protects people from accidents, disasters, and enemies (villains) who abuse their "individuality. The story is about the main character, Midoriya Izuhisa (Deku), who was born without "personality" and grows up at Yuuei High School, a prestigious school that produces heroes.

The third theatrical version of "My Hero Academia: The Movie World Hero's Mission" will finally be released on August 6, 2021 (Friday)! A trailer with plenty of scenes from the film has just been released.

The mysterious terrorist organization "Humanize," which plans to destroy the "individual" society, announces that it will attack the world at the same time. In order to save the world, professional heroes such as Deku, Bakugou, TODOROKI, and other members of the Hero Department of Yuei High School, as well as Endeavor and Hawks, gather to save the world from the crisis.

It has been decided that ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION will team up with "Hiroaka" for the first time and sing the theme song.

Since their debut, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION has led the Japanese rock scene and produced numerous movie and anime tie-in songs. Tuned to "Hiroaka," the new song is titled "Empathy," and was written specifically for the movie version. The song is a hot number with a sense of speed that raises expectations for the movie.

Words like "Everyone is different and everyone is good" are very beautiful, but there is no end to the worries about one's individuality.
When I see the growth of Deku and his friends, I think that even heroes have their own problems. Not only with villains, but they are each fighting against themselves.
I wrote the theme song while being encouraged by their appearance. I am honored to be a part of this wonderful film.
