The "Candy Online Shop" has started accepting reservations for "SMP ALTERNATIVE DESTINY 'Gunbuster'" as the first item of "SMP ALTERNATIVE DESTINY", a plastic kit brand featuring stylish design arrangements, which was released in 1988 in the "Aim for the Top! (8,250 yen including tax), a robot that appeared in the 1988 film " Aim for the Top!

SMP ALTERNATIVE DESTINY's unique "design by modeling" method of digital (3D) modeling allows each side of the figure to have a different expression. The result is "Gunbuster," the ultimate aircraft modeling design that contains a high density of information, and the stunning modeling beauty that can only be achieved by designing with 3D modeling is beautifully expressed.
The blades on both shoulders can be deployed, allowing you to enjoy both the design based on the setting and the design arranged by Toshinao Miyauchi.

Amazing Mobility
The torso is equipped with a link mechanism joint, allowing the natural rise of the torso when kicking to be reproduced. The knees are double-jointed with a structure that draws them out from the inside, allowing for both natural sculpting in the upright position and unbroken kneecap sculpting when flexing.
The shoulders and shoulder armor are composed of separate movable parts, allowing the arms to be lifted upward significantly.

Product Designer Toshinao Miyauchi
Toshinao Miyauchi has created numerous mecha designs and high-brand products, and is now one of the world's most notable designers. He is active not only in design, but also in planning, product development, prototyping, and many other fields, and has been working with Bandai since the planning stage of the "SMP ALTERNATIVE DESTINY" project.

Mr. Miyauchi's comment
The figure is a gigantic robot, exceeding 200 meters in height, so we were especially conscious of creating a sense of enormity, and by sculpting the figure from the toes up, we were able to create an atmosphere of enormity in a total height of approximately 240mm.
In addition, we placed the greatest importance on how to arrange the aircraft without destroying the world view of the work. We studied the details of the various weapons that appeared in the work and tried to create a model that would be consistent with the world view of "Aim for the Top! The design is consistent with the worldview of the "Aim for the Top!
