MAPPA×MADHOUSE's TV anime "takt op. Destiny" to air on October 5 (Tuesday)! Characters and PV are revealed!

At the "MAPPA STAGE 2021 -10th Anniversary-" held on June 27 (Sun.), 2021, the teaser PV and staff information of the TV anime "takt op.Destiny" which will be broadcast from October 5 (Tue.) were all revealed.

Destiny" is an original anime of the "takt op." project, which describes the destiny of girls who possess the power of classical music scores. MAPPA and MADHOUSE, an animation studio that has produced numerous high-profile works, have teamed up to co-produce the project. The beautiful and majestic world will be depicted by the splendid staff gathered together.

The teaser PV, characters, and main staff information have now been announced. The main cast will be played by Koki Uchiyama.

Passing through suffering, reach joy--L.V. Beethoven
Music is the light that illuminates people's hearts.
Suddenly, that "light" is stolen from the world.
On the night a black meteorite "Kuroyoru Meteorite" fell from the sky, the world changed.
D2, a deformed monster created from the black meteorite, begins to lay waste to the land and its people.
D2 was attracted to the melodies played by humans, and eventually "music" itself was outlawed.
However, there are those who resist the monster.
Girls who use music as their power - "Musikato".
These girls have taken the scores of the greatest operas and songs in the history of mankind and used them as their power to defeat D2.
And the "conductor" who leads and directs them.
The year is 2047, and America has been devastated by the war with D2.
Conductor "Tact" is traveling with Musicalto "Fate" to New York City.
In a world where music has been lost, "Tact" craves for music.
Musikart "Destiny" desires the extermination of D2.
The melody created by these two boys and girls is either joy or despair...
