Square Enix will release the 4K domestic version of the full CG video work "FINAL FANTASY VII ADVENT CHILDREN COMPLETE" in package and download on September 15, 2021.

FINAL FANTASY VII ADVENT CHILDREN" is a high-quality CG video work released on DVD in September 2005 as an official sequel to "FINAL FANTASY VII" released exclusively for PlayStation in 1997.

Although a straight-to-video work, it was a blockbuster hit, with dubbed and subtitled versions released in approximately 70 countries, and was selected for an unprecedented two consecutive years at the Venice International Film Festival in 2004 and 2005. The film has received numerous awards and accolades both at home and abroad, including the "Prix Zone05" at the Catalonia Film Festival in Spain, the "Best Visual Designer Award" at the 11th AMD Awards in Japan, and many others.

The 4K HDR remastering of the film has now been decided. The film, which depicts the delicate facial expressions and movements of the characters and the speedy action with high-quality CG expression, now offers a deeper experience of its worldview with high-definition images and sound thanks to the latest high-definition technology and DOLBY ATMOS.

Upgraded to 4K by utilizing high-resolution technology*, the finely rendered cityscapes, the leather of vehicles and decorations, and the texture of metals can be felt more realistically, even down to the finest details.

In addition, the high brightness and wide color gamut of High Dynamic Range (HDR) enable brightness and color expression closer to that of the natural world.

In powerful battle scenes, shimmering effects and intense flames are vividly rendered to match the speed of the scene, increasing the impact of the image. The entire film was remixed using DOLBY ATMOS, a new standard that "arranges" sound in an object-based space. The 4K HDR video and realistic sound provide an even more immersive visual experience.
