Strike the Blood FINAL" Anime Production Decision & PV Revealed! Comments from 10 cast members including Yoshimasa Hosoya and Risa Taneda have arrived!

Production of the OVA "Strike the Blood Final," which depicts the anime series "Strike the Blood" up to the conclusion of the main story, has been decided.

Strike the Blood" is a light novel series written by Gakuto Mikumo and illustrated by Manako, published by Dengeki Bunko. The series has sold a total of 3.2 million copies, and was regrettably brought to its conclusion in August 2020. 2013 saw a TV anime adaptation, followed by an OVA series, and Blu-ray and DVD sales have exceeded 330,000 units, with the fourth season "Strike the Blood IV" continuing the series' popularity. The series has sold more than 330,000 Blu-ray and DVD copies in total.

The fifth season of the OVA "Strike the Blood Final" will be an anime adaptation of the original light novel, volume 22 "The Triumphant Return of Dawn". The staff and cast from the TV series who know "Strike the Blood" well will depict the story up to the conclusion of the main story.

To commemorate the production of the complete series, a commemorative PV was released to celebrate the production decision. In addition, comments from a total of 10 cast members, including Yoshimasa Hosoya and Risa Taneda, have been released.

Yoshimasa Hosoya as Akatsuki Kojo
I am aware that it has been 10 years since I recorded the first episode, but to be honest, the word "FINAL" doesn't ring a bell at all (laughs).
However, I have been thinking recently that my co-stars have been showing a kind of "matured composure," and then I heard that I will turn 40 next year... "Indeed," I thought.
It's a "sure thing" that includes a lot of different things (laughs).
The reason I have been able to continue for such a long time is thanks to all the Stobra fans.
Thank you very much.
If I recall, we always talked about "the future" at our events as if we were in a bad mood, not knowing if it would happen or not (laughs). I am not sure if the content of the event was interesting or if the fans in the audience were interesting (laughs), but I had a really good time at every event. Thank you very much.
I will continue to enjoy the FINAL season as usual. Let's all enjoy it together.

Risa Taneda as Yukina Hiiragi
I am more than happy and grateful to have met a work that is being animated to completion, and to have been able to play the character of Yukina Hiiragi up to this point.
This is all thanks to all the fans who have loved and supported Stobura, all the people involved who have continued to produce the anime, and Ms. Mikumo who has continued to write the original story! Thank you so very, very much.
I will try my best to act with as much dedication as I can so that I can live up to that love.

When I heard about the completion of the original work, I was sad to hear that it had finally come to an end, but to my surprise, the decision was made to produce the FINAL! I was happy to hear that the anime Stobura would continue to run until the very end.
I hope to enjoy the recording sessions until the very end, as Stobura continues to be loved by its fans!

In my comment at the end of the main part, I had said in my dream that I wanted to play the role all the way through to the end... and it came true! It's true!

When I saw the title "Strike the Blood Final," I felt a little sad and thought, "This is the end.
I had vaguely thought that Strike the Blood would go on forever, so I was deeply moved to think that it would finally come to an end.
When I think about how many works can be animated until the end of the story, being involved in Stobura has a very significant meaning in my life as a voice actor.
I went back and looked at my schedule to see when I auditioned for Stobura, and it was March 2013 when I sent in my tape, so it looks like I've been involved with Stobura for over 8 years now.
It was a great honor to be chosen for one character among so many voice actors, and it was a great asset for me to have worked with that character for such a long time.
Sayaka Kohsaka is already a part of me.

The path that the staff, cast, and Stobra fans have all walked together has finally reached the FINAL.
