Let's relive the TV series through the original pictures and staff comments! Report on the first half of the "Animation Jutsu Kaisen Exhibition!

The "Animation Jujutsu Kaisen Exhibition," a special exhibition based on the concept of reliving the TV anime "Jujutsu Kaisen," which aired from October 2020 to March 2021, is being held at the Tokyo Anime Center in DNP PLAZA SHIBYA, Shibuya, starting July 2, 2021. The exhibition will be held at Tokyo Anime Center in DNP PLAZA SHIBYA from July 2, 2021.

The popular manga series "Jujutsu Kaisen" is serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump and has sold more than 50 million copies (as of June 4, 2021). The TV anime series based on the manga was broadcast on October 2, 2020 on the "Super Anime-ism" slot of the MBS/TBS network with 28 stations nationwide, and has earned the highest viewer ratings in the MBS/TBS late-night anime slot history. It continues to maintain a high number of viewers on the flat-rate video distribution service as a whole, and continues to create a movement for both the original work and the anime.

The "Animation Jujutsu Kaisen Exhibition" will be held at the Tokyo Anime Center in DNP Plaza Shibuya from July 2 to September 5, 2021. From July 2 to August 1, the first half of the exhibition, "Jujutsu Kaisen" and "Juvenile Fish and Reverse Punishment" (TV series episodes 1-13) will be on display, and from August 6 to September 6, the second half, "Kyoto Sister School Exchange Meeting" and "Kishu Raitou" (TV series episodes 14-24).

This time, we will report on the first half of the exhibition, which is currently open to the public.

The first thing that catches your eye as you enter the exhibit is a recreation of the opening scene of the first episode of the anime!

It was here that the "secret death penalty" decision was announced by Dr. Gojo. You are suddenly drawn into the world of "Jujutsu Kaisen!

From here on, the exhibit follows the storyline of the anime.

A large number of setting pictures and original drawings of impressive scenes are on display, accompanied by behind-the-scenes production stories and comments from the production staff.

How did you develop the image of the original work as an animated film? What kind of care was taken in the production of the spell casting scene?

Visitors to the exhibition can also enjoy an audio guide recorded especially for the exhibition by the cast. The audio guide can be listened to on your own smartphone using the "HoloModels" smartphone app, so be sure to have the app ready before you visit the exhibition.

The audio guide can be enjoyed with your own earphones!

The large screen allows you to take a closer look at the spell casting scene.

A video interview with character designer Teifumi Hiramatsu is also on view.

The background drawings are also on display.

In the latter half of the exhibit, there is a life-size Gojo Sensei!

Of course, it is possible to take pictures!

Storyboards for the first cool ED, which drew a great deal of attention for its stylish images, are on display.

Finally, a commemorative photo was taken with the members of the Jyusyu National College of Arts and Sciences! This is an illustration drawn for the exhibition.

Of course, there was a full lineup of goods for sale!

The lineup of goods for sale will change between the first and second semester. Please check the official website for details.

The exhibition thoroughly dissected the appeal of the anime version of "Jujutsu Kaisen" and made us want to rewatch the first episode all over again.

While we are looking forward to the second half of the exhibition starting in August, let's first take the time to enjoy the first half of the exhibition!
