Netflix Anime "Spriggan" Teaser PV #2 Released! Distribution to be postponed to 2022 for quality improvement.

The second teaser PV from the Netflix original anime series "Spriggan" has been released. In addition, in order to further improve the quality of the work, the start of distribution has been postponed to 2022.

Spriggan" (original story by Takashi Gehiro / illustrations by Ryoji Minagawa) was serialized in "Weekly Shōnen Sunday" (published by Shogakukan) from 1989 to 1996 and became a legendary manga that took the 90's by storm. The manga was adapted into an animated feature film in 1998, and now, 30 years after its serialization, david production has decided to produce an anime as a Netflix original anime series.

The story follows the adventurous adventures of a young boy, Yu Mikinae, who is a special agent "Spriggan" of "Arkham", an organization established to seal the legacy of a super-ancient civilization. Directed by Hiroshi Kobayashi of "Hizune and Masotan" and "Kiznaver", series composition and script by Koji Seko of "Jujutsu Kaisen" and "BANANA FISH", character design and chief animation director by Shuhei Handa of "Little Witch Academia". The new film is full of action and ancient romance, using both 2D drawings and 3DCG.

The second teaser PV released this time is a stunning image that clearly shows the passion of director Hiroshi Kobayashi, his staff, and david production, which is in charge of image production, for the work. The 40-second PV shows numerous action scenes that are so fast-paced that you can hardly blink.

In addition, the voice of the main character, Yuu Mikamiinae (CV: Chiaki Kobayashi), a boy who works as Spriggan to seal the legacy of a super-ancient civilization, has been unveiled for the first time. We hope you will enjoy seeing the power of the "Armored Muscle Suit" depicted in the new Spriggan.

In addition, some of the characters of Kouichi Moroha and Victor Strohloff are also shown, and fans of the original work can look forward to seeing which stories will be adapted for the anime.

Additional staff members announced include Akinori Mishima as editor, Yukio Nagasaki as sound director, Yoshio Obara as mixer, and Hiromune Kurahashi as sound effects. Although the start of distribution has been postponed to 2022, the entire staff is working hard to create a higher quality visual experience. The details of the distribution date will be announced at a later date, so please look forward to it.
