DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT" for PS5 to be released on September 24! PS4 version remastered with new elements!

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) will release "DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT" for PS5 in Japan on September 24, 2021 (Friday). Pre-orders are being accepted from today, July 9 (Fri.) at PlayStation retailers nationwide, various e-commerce sites, and PS Store.

DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT" will be released on PS4 in 2019 and will add new elements to that year's much talked about "DEATH STRANDING" and will be directed by Hideo Kojima. The game has been remastered for PS5 as DEATH STRANDING: DIRECTOR'S CUT by Hideo Kojima.

Hideo Kojima has created a game experience that the whole world has been waiting for. Death Stranding" has changed the world. Humanity was divided and isolated. Sam Porter Bridges begins his walk to reconnect the world, with hope for the future in his hands.

If you have already purchased "DEATH STRANDING" for PS4 from PS Store, you can get "DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT Digital Deluxe Edition" for PS5 for 1,100 yen (tax included).
If you have the software for PS4 (packaged version) and wish to download and play the software for PS5 (downloadable version), you will need to keep the PS4 disc inserted in your PS5. To upgrade from the PS4 software (packaged version) to PS5, a PS5 console with a disc drive is required.
