The new "FLASH EVA13 Substrate Art iPhone Case" is a battery-free case with LEDs mounted on the chest that glow without batteries. In the Evangelion Unit 13 design, a total of 27 electronic components are mounted on the chest, including a 2mm red LED. In the "FLASH EVA13 Substrate Art IC Card Case," the Evangelion Unit 13 design features six 2mm red LEDs mounted on the chest and on the back of the hand.

The Evangelion Unit 13 in this product is precisely designed with a 0.1mm wide wiring pattern using thin lines, and the background of Unit 13 is a printed circuit board wiring pattern with a curse pattern for sealing apostles. The substrate is gold-plated, and after mounting the electronic components, it is sealed with ultra-clear resin in a clean room (Class 1000).

The "FLASH EVA13 Substrate Art IC Card Case" comes with a gimmick that allows the LED to light up without batteries when touching a ticket gate or paying with an IC card (*1). The IC card case is made of 100% PCB, and three types of PCBs (front, middle, and back) are press-glued together to make the case. The printed circuit board is made of FR-4 (glass fiber cloth + epoxy), a light and strong material used in automotive circuit boards and industrial equipment. The keychain is included under the IC card case inside the gift box.

＜Why does "FLASH iPhone case" shine? > "FLASH
The LED glows by converting the radio wave emitted by the iPhone itself into electric power and boosting the voltage. The LEDs do not glow during normal operation, but glow randomly when the iPhone emits strong radio waves. The glowing mechanism is that the antenna circuit on the back side of the board catches strong radio waves emitted by the iPhone and circulates them to the front side of the board. There is only one LED. The circuit that makes the LED glow with radio waves was patented in 2020 (patent number 6667777).
