The 2019 "Birthday Sabbat featuring Pecola (Yurie Kosakai) & Mei Tachibana (Natsuko Hara)" bus tour was held in the midst of a raging typhoon, but this time the Kanto area was hit by a fierce evening shower rarely seen in recent years! The birthday event was held in the midst of pouring rain and thundering thunderstorms, making it an unforgettable stage.
The event was held twice a day and twice a night, both of which could be viewed online, so many fans gathered to celebrate Ms. Kosakai's birthday. The event was a great success.
Let us report on the daytime performance.
*The title of the live music was incorrectly titled, and has been corrected to the correct title.
Smiling at the affectionate congratulatory comments
When the event started, Ms. Kosakai appeared on stage full of energy. She was dressed in a cute T-shirt featuring a character she designed herself, "Hamburger Turtle" (a combination of Ms. Kosakai's favorite food, hamburger steak, and her beloved turtle).
Next up was today's guest, Riho Iida! Ms. Kosakai said that she had picked Ms. Iida as the guest with whom she would like to spend her birthday, and that alone was enough to make her happy! Actually, the appearance of the cake had been kept a secret until the rehearsal stage, and Ms. Kosakai was surprised and very moved by the surprise.
As if to follow up on the surprise, Ms. Iida herself presented her with loungewear. Since Ms. Kosakai likes the color green, the color of the present was also green. The mood of the venue was suddenly filled with a sense of climax, but the event had only just begun.
The event had just begun. First, there was the "Letter Corner," where the audience could read "birthday messages and their favorite part of Yurie Kosakai.
Ms. Kosakai received many letters from fans who came to the venue, and she read out messages praising herself in front of the audience. She read out a series of messages praising herself in front of the audience, including "the way she loves her works and characters" and "the way she manages to balance her studies with her career in the arts! I can't stop grinning! I'm smiling!" and "Let's keep up the good work! Kosakai-san was reminded to "keep up the good work!
He also remembers the names and faces of his fans, and when he spots a fan in the audience who has sent him a message, he talks about the time he met that fan at an event or other occasion. The talk corner was a testament to the importance Kosakai attaches to his fans.
Incidentally, it was also impressive to see Iida-san enjoying being a little mean to Kosakai-san in this corner. The two are good friends both publicly and privately, and Mr. Iida said, "I enjoy seeing him get upset by being a little mean to Ms. Kosakai. It was a funny scene that gave us an idea of how the two usually interact with each other.
The challenge project! Did they succeed in eating their favorite hamburger steak?
Next up was the challenge project, "Grab it together, you two! Hamburger Challenge.
In this project, two people play a mini-game together, and if they earn the specified points, they can eat a delicious hamburger steak at .......
In the first game, the participants played a card game called "Pakumogu! In this game, one of the players gestures the food depicted on a drawn card, and the other guesses the food. The two players, both of whom are professionals in the art of expression, accomplished their quota (although there were a few scenes where their voices were a little hoarse in places).
Next up was the "Balloon Bomb Game. In the 30 seconds it took for the balloon to break, the participants were asked to give 16 words on the theme of "sadness.
The game started right away, but Mr. Iida, who is not good at loud noises, was in a panic while holding the balloon! She was unable to give most of the words, and the mission ended in failure.
The final challenge was to shout "hamburger steak" as loudly as possible! The final challenge was to shout "hamburger!
Kosakai-san and Iida-san each shouted "hamburger steak! and if their combined volume exceeded 250 decibels, they achieved their quota. As they are voice actors, it was thought that they would be able to shout loudly enough at ......, but the result was 103 decibels for Ms. Kosakai and 106 decibels for Mr. Iida. The result was 103 decibels for Mr. Kosakai and 106 decibels for Mr. Iida. The result was that Mr. Kosakai's voice was 103 decibels and Mr. Iida's was 106 decibels, for a total of 209 decibels, which was slightly short. When both of them shouted at the same time, the result was 120 decibels. No matter how it turned out, it was a failure.
We could only succeed in one of the three projects, so we did not get the hamburger steak either! The challenge project ended with a vow of revenge for the afternoon session.
At this point, the release of Ms. Kosakai's first photo book was announced.
In this book, she was photographed as Pekora, the "Evil Goddess Dropkick" that she herself plays, and she also took on the challenge of cosplaying. It was also announced that if you pre-order the book by July 17, you will receive a bromide of Ms. Kosakai's first swimsuit. Since this is a swimsuit photo as Pekora, she will be wearing a school swimsuit. If you are interested, you should make a reservation now!
The first original song was also performed! Impressive live part
The event was already in its final stage.
Ms. Kosakai left the stage to change clothes for the live performance. In the meantime, a movie edited by Ms. Kosakai herself was shown. In the movie, Ms. Kosakai's own message was accompanied by scenes of her twisting the lyrics to her first original song and the recording process, one after the other. The video footage filled the audience with a sense of how she approached music production, and then Ms. Kosakai reappeared, dressed in a glittering stage costume!
The live performance started with the song " Calling HOPE " by Foreign Pop, a music unit in which Ms. Kosakai participates.
The song was familiar to fans, and at the same time, the tension in the venue soared as the song was a groovy pop tune! Fans clapped their hands and waved their cyalume to the beat of the song.
The next challenge was to perform their first original song live for the first time. From this point on, the lyricist, composer, and voice trainer, Sanyo Tada, also appeared on stage. He added to the live performance with his piano playing.
First, they sang "In the Forest". This is a mature song with a city-pop feel, and Kosakai said that he expressed "the feeling of being down and out and worried" in the lyrics. The song, which she likens to a forest, reveals a life-size 26-year-old who is distinctly different from the image of Ms. Kosakai that she has portrayed up to this point in her life.
The song's lyrics were written with great difficulty, but the experience of the birth pains must have been a catalyst for Mr. Kosakai to take a giant leap forward as an expressive artist.
The other song, "To You," is a ballad that expresses his feelings for his fans in a straightforward manner. The lyrics of "To You" were written with what he has always been thinking, and he says that he was able to write them easily. The audience was enveloped in a warm mood as Ms. Kosakai's love and kindness were clearly conveyed in this gem of a song.
Another song performed in collaboration with Ms. Tada was a cover of "Linalia," the ED theme of "Koi to call you weird," the first anime in which she starred. Ms. Kosakai sang the ballad of "Maruri to Ryuga" with piano accompaniment, which is a sad love story that is not easily noticed. Her emotional swings were directly conveyed at various moments, as if her feelings for the work and its music were overflowing, and her eyes were involuntarily moved to tears.
Ms. Kosakai said that she had hoped to sing with a piano at her birthday party. The stage was exactly as she had envisioned, and she and her fans must have been filled with joy.
The live performance, in which the audience was able to enjoy Ms. Kosakai's charm as an artist to the fullest, was already at its climax. Guest Iida-san reappeared and the two sang a cheerful duet of "Ano Musume ni Dropkick", the OP theme of "Jyakami-chan Dropkick".
Kosakai and Iida's version of "Ano Musume ni Drop Kick" was the first time they had ever performed it in public, although they always sing it together at karaoke. The tension in the audience rose as the duo perfectly reproduced the lines of Evil God and Yurine! The audience's love for the work was evident in their passionate performance.
The memorable birthday party came to an end amidst the excitement of the audience at ......, but here was a surprise again.
A congratulatory message video was shown by Shimi Hayashita and Maika from the women's professional wrestling group "Stardom," voice actress Reina Kondo, and singer Halca, leaving Kosakai speechless with emotion.
The "Yurie Kosakai Birthday Festival 2021 - I love hamburgers," which was full of happy plans until the very end. But I like everyone much more! ~I love hamburgers! Her impression was, "Wow! Birthdays are so happy, aren't they?" was all Ms. Kosakai had to say in her final comment.
Happy 26th birthday, Ms. Kosakai!
The paid archived streaming will be available until 9:00 p.m. on July 17, 2021!

Interview after the daytime session
───What did you think of today?
Kosakai: It was my first solo birthday party, and I am usually not a nervous character, but this time I was uncharacteristically anxious and practiced until the last minute, but with Rippy (Riho Iida) as a guest, I felt like I got back to my normal self in a good way. Yesterday during voice training, Ms. Tada also gave me many nice words of encouragement, telling me to relax and be my usual self, and it was a day that made me fall in love with my surroundings all over again.
Iida: I was also very happy to be invited to this event, but at the same time I wondered if I was the right person to go. After all, a birthday is an event that is most enjoyable for the person himself/herself and even more enjoyable for the fans who support him. I was first of all happy that I was given the right to participate.
As Kosakai-chan said, we spend more time together in our private lives than in our professional lives, so it was like our normal lives just popped out.
Today I was able to see how Kosakai-chan and her fans are in their everyday lives, and I thought they were very warm and relaxed. It is said that the talent and the fans are mirrors of each other. I thought that feeling really came through.
──You were actively promoting the show on YouTube, including a special program prior to the show, weren't you?
Kosakai: I really don't want to force my fans to do this or buy goods, and I just want to make them happy in some way. I am very grateful to the people around me for their support. I wanted to thank them and make the event a success, rather than just for myself, so I made a different kind of appeal than I usually do, such as distributing the event in advance and advertising tickets. But when the event was actually over, I didn't even have time to think about it. I think that means it was a lot of fun.
─ ─ And then the lunchtime session. It was a pity that you didn't get to eat the hamburgers, wasn't it?
Kosakai: That's right! Up until now, I would have said, "What? But today I was told that it was a mistake. 26-year-olds are no longer spoiled, I thought.
Iida Yes, we are not spoiled (laughs).
Kosakai I didn't even have lunch in anticipation of this hamburger, so it was completely my miscalculation (laughs). I hope to get over that and do my best for the rest of the year!
─ ─ Finally, what are your aspirations as you turn 26?
Kosakai: On this stage celebrating my 26th birthday, I was able to fulfill my goals of "wanting to sing" and "wanting to sing with live music," and I was also able to fulfill my goal of working with Rippy-san more, so I have already achieved three goals just in this afternoon session. It was a really wonderful start to the year. I would like to continue to fulfill my goals and raise my level so that I can show my next culmination in another year's time!
─ ─ Thank you very much!
