SUNRISE BEYOND x BANDAI SPIRITS announced that the TV anime "Boundary War Machine" will start airing and distributing sequentially on October 4, 2021 (Monday). In addition, a special video clip of the beginning of the first episode has been available on the official channel since today, July 21, 2021.

Boundary War Machine" is a full-scale original robot animation work jointly planned and produced by BANDAI SPIRITS, which specializes in high-target commercial products, and SUNRISE BEYOND, a newly established group company of Sunrise, a leading robot animation company. This is a next generation high quality robot animation that has been thoroughly studied in design, action, direction, and product linkage together with BANDAI SPIRITS.

The work is about the duo of Amou Shiiba, the 16-year-old protagonist who is not good at socializing, and Gai, an autonomous thinking AI, and their efforts to bring back Japan. The original work is characterized by powerful battle scenes and a storyline with a sense of depth. It was announced that the film is being produced with the aim of creating a robot animation that will be handed down to the next generation, and will be released this fall.

Prior to the broadcast on October 4 (Mon.), the special video at the beginning of the first episode of "Borderline War Machine" began to be distributed in advance from July 21 (Wed.).
This 11-minute special video includes the beginning of the story depicting the encounter between "Shiiba Amou," a boy who loves machines, and "Gai," an autonomous thinking AI, as well as the opening video.

Let's wait for the broadcast in October while feeling the world view of the work with this video.

Story of "Boundary War Machine

In the year 2061 A.D., Japan is ruled.
Japan was divided and ruled by the four major economies of the world, and the Japanese people were oppressed as the people of a subjugated country.
Japan became the front line of the world where AMAIM, a humanoid special mobile weapon deployed by each economic bloc, roamed the streets.
One day, Shiiba Amou, a boy who loves machines, meets Guy, an autonomous thinking AI.
This leads Amou to throw himself into the battle to reclaim Japan.
Riding on the AMAIM "Kembu," which he built himself.

Characters

Amou Shiiba

A 16-year-old who is not good at socializing. His hobby is collecting parts.
He spends his days in depression, but his world changes when he meets the autonomous thinking AI "Guy.

Gashin Tetsuzuka

A 16-year-old member of a resistance organization. He is calm and blunt.
He is in pursuit of his father's avenger, the mysterious "Ghost.

Shisabe Zion

A 16-year-old with a quiet personality. He specializes in the naginata sword.
Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, who was a potter, he dreams of restoring Hime-no-yaki pottery, which was destroyed by the invasion.
