Shin Evangelion the Movie" is not a renewal, remake or sequel of "Neon Genesis Evangelion" including "Neon Genesis Evangelion the Movie", but a new "Evangelion" born in 2007, and it is the fourth and final film in the "Evangelion the Movie" series. During the panel session with the moderator, General Director Anno said, "I really wanted to complete the film in eight years, but it took 16 years. Now that it's all over, I'm relieved."
