The Disney Channel, which airs on cable TV, BS and CS broadcasts nationwide, will broadcast for the first time works from Studio Chizu, the animation film production company established by director Mamoru Hosoda.

This year's special program will be the first broadcast on the Disney Channel of four films directed by Mamoru Hosoda, the animation film director. On Monday, August 2, the first week of the special program, the channel will air "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time," an exhilarating coming-of-age movie in which the 17-year-old protagonist, who has the ability to jump back in time, runs through the streets in early summer.

The following week, on Monday, August 9, "Mirai no Mirai" will be broadcast, depicting the story of "Mirai," a younger sister from the future, and "Kun-chan," who embarks on a journey to find the connection between family and life, followed on Monday, August 16, by "The Future's Mirai," a film set in the countryside of Nagano during summer vacation. Summer Wars," in which Kenji, a shy high school student who is good at math, along with Natsuki, a senior he admires, and his large family, confront a world crisis that suddenly erupts from the virtual world of OZ on the Internet, set in the countryside of Nagano during summer vacation.

Finally, on Monday, August 23, "Wolf Children: Rain and Snow" will be broadcast, in which Hana, a college student who falls in love with a wolf man, and the two wolf children who are eventually born move to the countryside surrounded by abundant nature after his death.
