Free "Atsumare Animal Crossing" Update Available! Fireworks display and Obon items!

A free update (Ver. 1.11.0) will be available for "Atsumare Animal Crossing" on Nintendo Switch on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Plans for further updates are also underway before the end of the year.

Summer is finally here. Those who live on islands in the northern hemisphere are probably busy catching insects and catching fish, while those in the southern hemisphere are probably busy making Yukidaruma (snowmen).

In "Atsumare Animal Crossing," you can continue to enjoy seasonal events after the free update (Ver. 1.11.0) distributed at 10:00 on July 29 (Thu.). Whether you experienced last year's event or this year's for the first time, come and join us!

Seasonal Event: Fireworks Display & Insect Catching Contest

Every Sunday night in August, a fireworks display is held!

Once again this year, the plaza in front of the information center will be filled with residents who have come to watch the fireworks. The food stall at "Tsunekichi" will be offering additional prizes for the inari raffle. Why don't you hold a raffle with your friends to create a festive atmosphere?

Of course, you can also set off your own original fireworks. Give "My Design" to "Shizue" in the plaza and set off your own fireworks.
Why not have fun with the residents of the island or go out to your friend's island and spend a summer evening?

In addition, "Insect Catching Contest" is held on the fourth Saturday of August and September in the northern hemisphere! Let's join in the fun on August 28 (Saturday) and September 25 (Saturday).

In order to enjoy the contents added by the free update, you will need to download the latest version of the update data (Ver. 1.11.0) scheduled to be distributed on July 29, 2021 (Thursday).
*Events and additional items may not occur simply by changing the date of the main unit, even if the updated data has already been downloaded. After the real time start date, the device must be connected to the Internet and the software must be launched with the user's Nintendo account linked to the device.
After "Ver. 1.11.0", the 2020 version of the event cannot be experienced even if the main unit's time is rewound.

■Obon

Obon is the day when ancestors return to their homes. In honor of this time of the year, "Cucumber Uma" and "Eggplant Ushi" will be available in Tanuki Shopping from August 10 to August 16.
These are believed to be vehicles for the ancestors to come and go between the afterlife and this world. When they come, they come early with "cucumber horses" and when they return, they leave slowly with "eggplants".

■Otsukimi, Mid-Autumn Festival, Autumn Evening [Chuseok].

In 2021, the "Mid-Autumn Festival (Jugoya)" will be on Tuesday, September 21. Tsukimi Dango, a perfect autumnal treat for moon viewing, will be available at Tanuki Shopping from September 12 to September 21. Why not combine them with "tsukimi rugs" to create the mood of otsukimi (moon viewing)?

At the same time, "Gegege", named after "Mid-Autumn Festival" in the Chinese-speaking countries, and "Songpyeong", named after "Chuseok" in Korea, will also be on the line. In the Chinese-speaking world, "Mid-Autumn Festival" is a day for family gatherings, and families eat these mooncakes together. In Korea, "Chuseok" is the day to offer "songpyeong" (steamed rice cakes covered with pine leaves) to ancestors.

Other seasonal items will also be available during each period, and some items will be added with the free update on July 29, so don't miss them!
