The long-awaited new film "Free! The Movie - the Final Stroke-" will open in theaters nationwide on September 17, 2021 (Friday) for the first part and April 22, 2022 (Friday) for the second part. Haruka Nanase's new stage is Sydney, the place of her dreams that she once visited. One day, while taking a short rest before leaving for the trip, Haruka happens to meet an athlete who competed in the All-Japan Selection Tournament and shows her fighting spirit. With the thoughts of his friends who have swum with him in mind, Haruka ventures into a new frontier. What awaits her is the absolute champion, Albert Vollandel.
The athletes are all motivated to compete in the Sydney Games. What will they feel and what will they swim for as they compete for the top of the world? Their passionate battle to face the water begins here!
