Mebius, a company that plans, develops, and sells computer games, will release "Susanoo: Japanese Mythology RPG," an original full-fledged RPG featuring characters from Japanese mythology such as "Susanoo" and "Amaterasu," on the Switch on Thursday, July 29, 2021. The game features a dungeon with many hidden gimmicks to conquer, 2D animations that move well, and almost fully-voiced event scenes, as well as weak enemies and demons. In addition, the game offers the fun of building characters and defeating enemy demons while taking their weaknesses into consideration.

A patch will be released on July 29, 2021 (Thursday), the day of the game's release, to enable adjustment of difficulty levels. The first difficulty level of the product version is "HARD".

A limited-edition "Special Edition" that includes a setting material collection and soundtrack will also be released at the same time.
The setting material book includes a gallery of illustrations, character introductions, story supplements, and level design, and includes a never-before-seen rough sketch by Yutame Takeyama, the character designer. The text in the setting material book was written and commented on by GM.SYACYOU, the director of this work. There are also comments from the development staff to make this work more enjoyable.

Amaterasu's younger brother "Susanoo" was banished from Takamagahara for his unmanageable behavior.

However, in Ashihara-nakatsukuni, where he was banished, he showed glimpses of his heroic deitieship by defeating the Yamata-no-orochi and rescuing a young girl named Kushinada, who was about to become a sacrifice.

Susanoo took Kushinada as his wife, ruled the Land of Izumo, and made it prosperous.

One hundred years pass, and a messenger comes from Takamagahara to wake Susanoo from his eternal slumber. ......
