KENTARO MAEDA, who plays the lead role, and KUBAKI KIMURA, who plays Vice, are also hailed as "the best partners"!

On July 27, 2021, a press conference was held to announce the production of "Masked Rider Revise," the third installment of the 2021 Masked Rider series, which will be born in the commemorative year of the 50th anniversary of the birth of the Masked Rider series.

The press conference was held online due to the recent outbreak of the new coronavirus.
On stage were newcomer Kentaro Maeda, who plays the main character, Ikki Igarashi/ Kamen Rider Revise, and voice actor Subaru Kimura, who plays the "voice" of his partner, the demon Vice/ Kamen Rider Vice, as well as Wataru Hinata (who plays Daiji Igarashi) and Ayaka Imoto (who plays Daiji Igarashi). The cast also includes Ayaka Imoto (Sakura Igarashi), Noritaka Hamao (George Karasaki), Kurara Emi (Yukimi Igarashi), and Shigeyuki Toji (Genta Igarashi), all of whom play scientists.

The unprecedented appearance of this new rider, which is currently being screened as a stand-alone movie prior to the TV broadcast (at the same time as "Saber + ZENKAIJAR: Super Hero Senki"), has already attracted a lot of attention. The press conference was led by the host, announcer Sakira Miyajima, who talked about the appeal of the film and the enthusiasm of the cast members.

The press conference began with an original mini-drama in which Subaru Kimura and George Karasaki were guests at the "Shiawaseyu" public bathhouse where the film takes place.
While all the cast members made comments, Masked Rider Vice walked around the press conference room freely, creating a rather free atmosphere.

The concept of the film is "a masked rider who makes a contract with the devil. In order to protect his beloved family from a devil-worshipping organization called the Deadman's, the hero, Kazuki Igarashi, makes a contract with the "devil vice" that resides in him, and acquires the "power to fight. Hero and demon, two complete opposites, become buddies.
Then, "Transformation! Ikki transforms into "Masked Rider Revai" and the demon Vice transforms into "Masked Rider Vice," in other words, two masked riders appear from one person. Although buddy "Masked Riders" have existed in the past, it will be interesting to see how this unprecedented gimmick of a hero and a demon, or two Masked Riders appearing from the body of one person, will affect the storyline.

Kentaro Maeda, who plays the role of Kazuki Igarashi, commented that he was "nervous" because he is an up-and-coming actor playing the lead role for the first time in this film. I was struggling to keep up with them." His partner, Subaru Kimura, who plays Vice, is "just so serious," and "bold and determined in everything! I was very impressed by Maeda-kun's boldness in taking on any challenge and doing his best. We are the best partners! He also commented emphatically, "We are the best partners!

In addition to the action scenes, there are also scenes in which the two riders combine to perform super special moves and Masked Rider Vice transforms into various vehicles, which are then ridden by Masked Rider Revai. One such vehicle is a hoverbike.
The hoverbike is based on an actual hoverbike, so we can expect realistic motorcycle action.

The theme of the film is "family," and the center of the story takes place in a public bath called "Shiawaseyu," where the Igarashi family lives.
Daiji Igarashi, played by Wataru Hyuga, is Kazuteru's younger brother; Sakura Igarashi, played by Ayaka Imoto, is his youngest sister; Yukimi Igarashi, played by Kurara Imi, is his mother; and Genta Igarashi, played by Shigeyuki Toji, is his father.
Imoto said, "The atmosphere on set is really good, and I feel at ease acting. It's like a real family." Eimi, who plays the role of the mother, commented that she hopes to become a father and son so that the audience will naturally call her "mother-chan" during the course of the year.

On the other hand, Mr. Toji, who plays the father, said that his son actually became interested in "Masked Rider" when he was 5 years old, and he was a little disappointed, saying, "I'm happy (to be on the show), but I can't transform into a masked rider. However, he was a little disappointed, saying, "I'm happy to be on the show, but I won't be able to transform into a masked rider. He is looking forward to the chance.
Hinata, who plays the younger brother, made a bombshell statement, "To sum it up... he will transform! I'm going to transform! There will come a day when I will fight together with my brother," he said, and we look forward to seeing what kind of action the brother and sister riders will have together.

Noritaka Hamao, who plays George Karasaki, the scientist who develops the transforming items for Masked Rider Revise, revealed that he and his father are big fans of the Rider series, "My father cried when he heard I was cast.... I was so happy because I thought I might be able to show filial piety to my father for the first time! I was so happy!

At this point, an enemy organization suddenly interrupted the press conference! The host, announcer Sakira Miyajima, was kidnapped.
From this point on, a live broadcast was made from the Deadman's Base, the enemy organization.

The three people who appeared on stage were Yui Asakura (playing Aguilera), Hayata Seki (playing Orteka), and Kurato Hachijoin (playing Julio), who play the three Deadman's executives.

Each of the three said, "Aguilera is ruthless, but she also has a mischievous side and is a very expressive character, so please pay attention to her! (Asakura), "I hope you enjoy seeing how she stands up to Kazuki and the others" (Seki), and "Julio is a fascinating character whose body moves instinctively" (Hachijoin), appealing the highlights from the villain side.

At this press conference, the theme song artist, who is always a topic of conversation, was also announced.

The theme song for the film will be sung by "Da-iCE feat. Subaru Kimura," a special collaboration unit of vocal and dance unit Da-iCE and Mr. Subaru Kimura. The title is "liveDevil.
The members of Da-iCE commented confidently on the VTR, "We have prepared a cool song of our own," and Kimura said, "We are very happy just to be able to appear in Kamen Rider, but to be allowed to sing the theme song as well.... I will do my best." Kimura expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration.
The theme song will be unveiled in the first episode, so you won't want to miss it from the very first broadcast!

In addition, the production and distribution of "Ura Kamen Rider," an online program that follows the behind-the-scenes of "Kamen Rider Revise," was also announced. The camera for this program will closely follow the cast from the time of their auditions. The camera closely follows the cast from the time of their auditions, capturing them in their first appearance.

The long version of "Ura Masked Rider" will be distributed through Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club (TTFC) and the video distribution platform "TELASA" from August 8 (Sun.). The short version will be distributed on the official TV Asahi program website.

Lastly, Ms. Maeda performed her "transformation pose" for the first time. According to Mr. Maeda, it is a pose that he is very particular about, in honor of the "50th anniversary of the series," and that he calls it the "Igarashi Pose.
He added, "Together with the staff and cast, I will make "Masked Rider Revise" the coolest rider ever. Please look forward to it! The press conference ended with the brave declaration, "Please look forward to it!

Below is the full text of the official comments from the cast members. (The following are the official comments from the cast members.)

KENTARO MAEDA (Actor: Kazuki Igarashi / Masked Rider Rebuild) comment

--Please tell us about the character you play.

Ikki is very serious and straightforward, and has his own sense of justice. The bathhouse he protects with his family is more important than anything else, and he is willing to sacrifice himself to protect it. He tries too hard, and his younger sister and brother may think he is a "nosy big brother," but he is a man of love for people and his family.
He and his partner Vice will be fighting together from now on, and I think the combination of the two of them and their interactions will be a highlight. Please look forward to it.

--Please tell us how you felt when you were chosen to appear in "Kamen Rider Revise".
When I got the call that we were going to have a meeting at the office, I was nervous and wondered if I was going to get in trouble.... I was so nervous that I wondered if I would be scolded.... I was feeling a lot of pressure and anxiety because it was the 50th anniversary of the film, but three days after I was chosen to appear in the film, we had a meeting, and the filming went on and on, so I was struggling to keep up.
I loved both Kamen Rider and Super Sentai, and as a child I wanted to be a hero. I am very happy to be able to fulfill that childhood dream and my dream of becoming a masked rider as an actor at the same time.

--What are your impressions of "Masked Rider Revise," which has already been shown in theaters?

I was very happy to see myself in the film, which was made by the staff and cast working together. It was the first time for me to see myself on a big screen, so it was really strange to see "I'm bigger than me...! I felt really strange.

--What kind of work do you want to make of "Kamen Rider Revise"?
I think it is the same for all the cast members, but we have been given the dream of "becoming a masked rider" by our predecessors, so I hope that now we can give our own dream to everyone. So, I would like to make "Masked Rider Revise" a masked rider that can give dreams to others.

--How is your relationship with Wataru Hyuga, who plays Kazuki's younger brother, Daiji Igarashi?
Anyway, Hinata is really cute! Even in private, he sometimes calls me "bro. I can't help but think he is really cute.

--What was the most memorable part of your audition for "Kamen Rider Revise"?
I was so stiff during the audition.... But Mr. Noritaka Hamao talked to me, and we both made it to the final audition, and I am very happy to be able to appear with him in this way.

--What do you think is the highlight of the transformation pose?
I call it "Igarashi Pose" (laughs). I call it "Igarashi Pose." (Laughs.) I encourage everyone to try it when taking pictures! Also, the sound the belt makes when it transforms is really cool, so please pay attention to it.

--On behalf of the cast and crew, please share your enthusiasm for the show!
I will work together with the staff and cast to make "Masked Rider Revise" the coolest rider ever, so please look forward to it!

--How do you feel after the live broadcast of the production announcement?
I was nervous at first because it was the first time to have so many people watching us, but thanks to the help of all the cast members, my nerves started to melt away and it was a very enjoyable live distribution!

Subaru Kimura (Vice/Kamen Rider Vice) <*voice appearance> comment

--Please tell us about the character you play.
Vice is a funny guy who is in a good mood. Please pay attention to his future activities and his combination with Kazuki.

--Please tell us how you felt when you were chosen to appear in "Masked Rider Revise".
I was extremely happy. When I was first told that I would be playing the lead role, I thought, "What? Leading role? I am a voice actor. (laughs). (Laughs) But as I heard more and more about it, I thought, "This Kamen Rider is going to be super fun! I remember how excited I was.

Maeda-kun was very stiff the first day I met him (laughs). We talked a lot about what we would be doing together for the next year, and he was very serious! He is so serious that if you look up the word "serious" in a dictionary, you will probably find "Maeda.
I was so moved by Maeda's boldness in taking on challenges and doing his best in everything he does that I went back to my roots to express what I can do as a voice actor to the best of my ability, and I think it gave me a chance to rethink my job as a voice actor from scratch. We are the best partners!

--Vice also changes form into a hoverbike.
Vise and Levi can transform into various things by joining forces, but Vise can also become a vehicle. This is interesting! I don't think anyone has ever transformed into a hoverbike before (laughs). There was a scene where he was flying over the ocean with Levi on board, and he was feeling the ocean breeze and saying, "Wow, look at me, I'm flying! It was really fun to fly while feeling the sea breeze and saying, "Wow, look we're flying! (Laughs) I am actually quite excited to see what kind of ride I can be in the future.

--How did you feel when you were chosen to sing the theme song?
I am very happy just to be able to appear in Kamen Rider like this, but to be asked to sing the theme song as well... "Why? I am truly honored. Da-iCE is really cool, so it's perfect for "Masked Rider Revise"! Please look forward to it.

Wataru Hinata (playing Daiji Igarashi) comment

--Please tell us about the character you play.
I play the role of Daiji, the second son of three siblings, who is intelligent and athletic, but his mental fragility comes out in his character, so I hope that you will watch with me how Daiji grows over the course of this year.

--Please tell us how you felt when you were chosen to appear in "Kamen Rider Revise".
The only thing I didn't respond to was the final audition, and I was feeling really unsure and absolutely hopeless, so I was depressed all the way through the few days until I got the results. But I got a surprise from the office, too, and they called me up and said, "There's an audition for your next film, so let's go over the script for it. I thought to myself, "If I had passed, why would they make me audition when we have a year of filming ahead of us?" I thought, "If I had passed the audition, I would have had a year of filming, so why would they make me go through with the audition? Then, I saw a note on the envelope they gave me that said "Masked Rider Appearance".... The next day was our meeting, so I had no time to be surprised.

--How is your relationship with Mr. Maeda, who plays Kazuki?

In the play, he is a bit nosy about his brother's nosiness, but at heart, he loves him. In reality, Ken-chan (Kentaro Maeda) and I are four years apart in age, but we have many scenes together, and we encourage each other and work hard together in an unfamiliar environment. He treats me like a real brother, and he is the kind of older brother who pulls me along behind his back.

-There are high expectations for your transformation into a rider, but what do you think about it yourself?
To sum it up...I will transform! I can't tell you when or under what circumstances yet, but I think that eventually I will fight alongside my brother. I would be happy if you could look forward to it!

Ayaka Imoto (as Sakura Igarashi) comment

--Please tell us about the character you play.
Sakura is the youngest of three siblings and is the most physically gifted of them all. She is the youngest of the three siblings and is the most physically gifted of the siblings. She has a gentle personality, but she also shows a cool side due to her adolescent age, so I hope you can see that in her.

--How did you feel when you were chosen to appear in "Kamen Rider Revise"?
Like everyone else, I found out by surprise. I was told to come to the office for an interview, and when I got there, the manager asked me, "How are you feeling now that you passed the audition?" How are you feeling now? At that time, my mind went blank and I was speechless. I realized that people are speechless when they are too surprised.

--I heard that there are many family scenes in the film.
I was always together with my brothers, and the atmosphere was really good, so I could act without any worries. I can talk with my family, including Mr. Toji and Ms. Eimi, during breaks, so I really enjoy filming. I feel like we are a real family.

Noritaka Hamao (George Karasaki) comment

--Please tell us about the character you play.
George Karasaki is a genius researcher for the Phoenix, a government agency that works against the Deadman's Satanist organization. He is also a genius doctor who developed the transformation driver used by Masked Rider Revise.

--How did you feel when you were chosen to appear in "Kamen Rider Revisited"?
It wasn't a surprise for me, I just got the call from my manager. Actually, just like my role, I myself am also a Masked Rider fanatic...but even more than that, my father is really a hardcore fanatic and collects DVD-boxes and figures of all the series. I was born in November 1999, two months before "Kamen Rider Kuuga" started, so I have been watching all the Showa Riders with my father since before I can remember, so when he decided to appear in this movie, he was crying.... He had been concerned about me ever since I started this job, so it was the first time he cried....

I was very happy because I thought I might have been able to show filial piety to him for the first time!

--Please tell us about an episode related to yourself and Masked Rider.
The world of Masked Rider is very deep, and there are many fans, so it's a little bit presumptuous of me to call myself a "fan," but my father is a very core fan of Masked Rider. I am a little embarrassed to say this (laugh), but my father called me "Kuuga Boy" until I was in kindergarten. I was so excited to meet the director who shot "Kuuga" on the set of this film! It's the best place to be. I am very happy!

---What was the most memorable part of the audition for "Kamen Rider Revise"?
I happened to audition with Kentaro Maeda, and he was the only person I talked to on the way home. I said to him, "It would be nice if we could work together," and it turned out to be true!

Kurara Eimi (as Yukimi Igarashi) comment

--Please tell us about the character you play.
I play Yukimi, the mother of the Igarashi family. She always says, "No matter what happens to people, they can come back to life if they take a hot bath. She is a warm mother who loves her family and taking a bath. I hear that family is one of the themes of the film. Children are heroes and heroines, but I would like to do my best for a year with the feeling that fathers are heroes and mothers are heroines, too!

--Please tell us how you felt when you were chosen to appear in "Masked Rider Revise".
I had an image that "Masked Rider" was about "up-and-coming people chosen by audition," so I was very happy to be able to work with young people who will be taking off into the future. This time, I played the role of a mother, so I asked myself, "Is she sleeping? Is she eating? I want to make everyone feel pampered.

--You are playing the role of a mother. What do you think of the fresh actors playing the three siblings?
They are just so cute! I think of them as real children. They are all still reserved, so they call me "Eimi-san" on set, but over the course of this year, I would like to become a father and son so that they will naturally call me "Mom. I am especially worried about my oldest son because he will transform and fight for the world. I think he will come home very tired. So I will warm the water with this "Happiness Bath" and wait for my mother (laughs)!

Shigeyuki Totsugu (Genta Igarashi) comment

--Please tell us about the character you play.
I play the father of the main character, Ikki. My oldest child is about to turn 5, and he is finally old enough to understand "Masked Rider," so I am very happy to have been given the opportunity to play the role at that time! I know everyone thinks that my "transformation" will not happen, but "Kamen Rider" runs for a year, so you never know what will happen! I'm hoping that maybe there will be a time when my father can transform too!

--How did you feel when you were chosen to appear in "Kamen Rider Revise"?
I was just thinking that I could make my son proud! I immediately said to my son, "Dad, I'm going to be in "Kamen Rider"! I told my son "Dad, I'm going to be in 'Masked Rider'! But when I received the prepared draft of the script after that, I thought, "What? It doesn't look cool...". I thought, "No matter how it turns out, I can't boast about this to my son..." In fact, Genta is set to be an unsuccessful YouTuber, so I thought, "No matter how it turns out, I can't boast about this to my son. But as I said before, I haven't given up on the transformation yet!
On set, as Mr. Kimura (Subaru) said, all the young cast members were very serious! As Kimura (Subaru) said, all the young cast members are very serious! I am learning a lot from them, which is very stimulating and fun.

--You said that you had a request for your performance in this film.
Speaking of wishes, I have one! I want to be transformed! I'm kind of looking forward to the day when a producer will quickly come up beside me and say, "You can transform" (laughs).
Also, there is one thing I don't like about filming. That is that my sons are too tall! When they stand side by side, I look so small. There are family photos on the set, and I look like my youngest brother (laughs).

Yui Asakura (Aguilera) comment

--Please tell us about the character you play.
Aguilera is the leader of the Deadman's, a devil worshiping organization, and plans to destroy the government's special agency, Phoenix. She is ruthless, but she also has a mischievous side and is very expressive, so I hope you will pay attention to her!

--What do you think of the costumes?
I think the costumes are truly unique and one-of-a-kind, thanks to the many detailed adjustments. Above all, I feel that the staff made them with love and care, and I hope I can repay them by playing the role of Aguilera to the best of my ability.

■Shunta Seki (as Orteka) comment

--Please tell us about the character you are playing.
Orteka is an executive of the Deadman's, and he is usually looking for a suitable human sacrifice. I would be happy if you could look forward to seeing how she will stand in front of Ikki and the others, and what kind of things Orteka herself has done in the past and why she is doing what she is doing.

--What do you think of the costumes?

What I like most about the green-based costumes is the skeleton face pattern around the chest. I also like the many "eyes" motifs on the sides of the pants. When I first saw it, I thought it was very flashy and wasn't sure if I would be able to wear it, but now I really like it.

Comment from Kurando Hachijoin (Julio)

--Please tell us about the character you play.
Julio, Aguilera's bodyguard, has a hot-blooded side. If Orteka is a rational character, Julio's body moves instinctively. Objectively speaking, I think he is similar to me in some ways, which makes him a fascinating character. I would be happy if you could enjoy "Kamen Rider Revise" for a year!

--What do you think of the costumes?
The concept of my costume is Mexican! Each design on the brim of the hat is an "eye," and the hat was a little too big at the costume fitting stage, but I was able to adjust it to the size I am wearing now. I love these costumes!

Da-iCE (theme song) comment
We, Da-iCE, are pleased to announce that we will be performing the theme song for "Kamen Rider Revise". We are very happy about it and are looking forward to the upcoming broadcast. Kimura Subaru is a very good rapper, so there is a high possibility that he will join us for the rap part, but we have prepared a cool song in our own way, so please look forward to it.
