Minori Suzuki 2nd LIVE TOUR 2021 - Make My Story!
Saturday, July 31, 2021
Special Civic Hall Village Hall, 16:30/17:30 Concert begins
As the tour title "Make My Story!" indicates, this tour in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka marks the beginning of a new chapter for Minori Suzuki as an artist. Unfortunately, the tour "Now Is The Time!" at the end of last year, which commemorated the release of "Uemino," had to be canceled due to the new coronavirus, so this was the first live tour as a solo artist in about two years, and this was the final show in her hometown, It was clear from the show-stopping performance of the opening number, "Now Is The Time!
The band master Katsutoshi Kitagawa (G.&Cho.) led the audience in handclaps, and Suzuki sashayed out of the stage, his naturally effervescent voice resonating in every corner of the venue. As if to confirm how good it felt to sing in the hall and to check the audience one by one, she sang not only on the center stage covered with a red cloth, but also in the space to the left and right, and her smile was full of joy that the concert was held. Her smile was overflowing with joy at having been able to hold the concert.
The next song, "I like what I like! ", she hit the audience who were "in love" with Minoringo with "zukyun-bakyun", which was a gorgeous and light stage performance. There was also a response time when the audience raised their fists high above their heads to enhance the sense of unity even when they were unable to speak out due to the current situation. During "Resistance on the chromatic scale," they spun the words rhythmically while grabbing the sleeves of their long skirts and fluttering them about. The first three songs of the first day of the tour in Tokyo showed a bit of nervousness, but on this day, they seemed to have a great ability to grasp the atmosphere of the audience.
The band greeted the audience with a local greeting, "I'm back! Suzuki said, "I'm back! and the tension remained high as they moved on to the second part of the song. They sang three songs with a microphone stand: "Oshenchina Mental (Sentimental Mental)," which featured Shachihoko's pose in the chorus, and the 80s-style "I don't know, Baby! The songs were sweet and sour, romantic pop songs with cute idol-like choreography. Suzuki's clear voice, which seemed to capture the sparkle and crush of youth, was on full display.
During the MC time, Suzuki talked about his costume, which he remade from the one he wore last time, and about his hometown in his hometown. Looking at the chairs at the venue, the Nihon Tokushu Toryo Shimin Kaikan, he fondly recalled an episode when he was a child, when he and his childhood friend came to see a concert of "Shimajiro".
Instead of "astro traveler" at the Tokyo concert, they performed "Tsukiyo no Yume" at the Osaka and Nagoya concerts. In a change from the previous song, the whispers of her emotionless voice were heard instrumentally, and she practiced a dazzling fusion of her voice with the sound. In the following ballad, "Yozora," Suzuki's delicate yet penetrating vocals were sublimated with the beauty of the lighting. From a different perspective, the band consisting of Katsutoshi Kitagawa (G & Cho.), Kensuke Okuda (G), Manabu Chigasaki (Ba), Yasushi Mori (Per & Mp.), Maoki Yamamoto (Dr.), and Hanako Suenaga (Key & Cho.) flexibly responded to Suzuki's vocals and the genre of the music, and their outstanding stability and high quality were evident. The next corner featured a number of songs and a number of
The next corner was two songs from their many character songs. The next two songs were from the smartphone game "Project Sekai Colorful Stage! Hatsune Miku", Suzuki sang "To the endless gray" under the name of Shinonome Emina, the character she plays. The song depicts the struggles of Ena, a character with a strong desire for approval who wants more than anything else to have her drawings recognized, and Suzuki's singing voice carried the character's emotions and conveyed a serious mood. The multiple pin spotlights slanting across the stage were also fresh and created a completely different world from the previous performances.
Another song from "Macross Delta," a new movie version of which will be released this fall, was "Rune ga Pikkatte Hikaritara," a pop song sung by Freya Vion. For this tour, the song was arranged in a country style, and Suzuki sang enthusiastically while tapping her tambourine amidst the pleasant rhythm. The sight of her running around, having fun with the band members and singing on her knees, was impressive, just like Freya herself.
Finally, the live entered the second half. During "gloria," her dynamic and elongated voice enveloped the audience. In the EDM-style chorus of "Saihatsu no Hello," the chorus of "WO WO WO," she encouraged the audience by saying, "Are you sure you want to shake your fist like that? and the audience was even more excited. In "Rewind," Suzuki's singing skillfully connected the technical performance and pop melody, conveying 100% of the song's charm.
To end the barrage of popular tunes, the band launched into "Damehadame," a "madcap" song with humorous, dialogue-like vocals. Before the big chorus, Suzuki took the podium on the conductor's podium, which was decorated with a display of Mt. To the melody of Beethoven's "Ninth," which was inserted in the program, he waved a green onion-shaped earpick as a plectrum, but it was accidentally damaged. However, she showed her resilience by presenting this sequence of incidents as a comedy, including an apology to her sister who gave her the ear buds as a gift.
The last song of the five-song set was her debut "FEELING AROUND," which was chosen as the last song of the set. The song expressed the aggressiveness of dance-rock to the fullest. In the interlude section, where various interesting tricks have been played in the past, a corner was cut in where the audience had to choose from a request box (ramen bowl) brought by Okauchi what kind of setting they would say the line "churu" in, as if they were voice actors. In Nagoya, a request from bass player Chigasaki was chosen to reproduce "Churu" when a 3-year-old boy eats spicy food for the first time in his life. He asked, "How much language does he speak?" Suzuki, whose boundary between a baby and a three-year old is unclear, asked, "How much can he speak?" This was a rare scene in which the boundary between a baby and a three-year old is unclear, and Suzuki made a "churu" that was ambiguous.
At the end of the song, Suzuki showed his great skill to catch a green onion thrown high in the air while falling down, showing his pride as the top voice actor and green onion (?) in the world of voice actors and green onions. He showed his pride in being the top voice actor in the world of voice actors and leeks (?).
During the MC before the last part of the show, he revealed his honest feelings about his current state of mind. He expressed his frustration at not being able to fully perform last year, his relief and joy at having managed to tour the Tomeihan region this time, and his sincere gratitude to the staff and members. She also confessed that she had been troubled and lost as a voice actress and singer, Minori Suzuki, before coming here, and then said, "Now, I'm kind of back to my roots. My purpose in life is to create a wonderful space with everyone through my acting and voice. Today is a day for me to take a new step forward." She found strong meaning and value in this live performance, which was expected to be a turning point for her.
Immediately after that, the band performed "Akanezora, Watashi wa Ita Machi," a new rock sound with a new taste in "Uemino. Minori Suzuki showed her ability to play with the complicated and tricky sound and melody without being tossed or swept away by the music. Her determination to deliver her songs with sincerity, without fear of thinking or worrying, seemed to ooze through her singing, and was the highlight of the evening. The last song of the show was the medium ballad "Ephemera wo Tsumete". The last song of the show was a medium ballad, "Ephemera wo Tsumetsumete." The audience seemed a little emotional as they carefully tried to deliver the song as if they were writing a letter to their loved ones, and the show ended with the whole audience united.
The band members and Suzuki, dressed in staff T-shirts, appeared on stage again to a thunderous encore. The band performed "Crossswalk," the most popular song in the "Minori-tai" fan club, with Suenaga's duo on the piano softly speaking to the audience in the first verse, and the band sounding warm and enveloping in the second verse. The vivid gradation of the singer's voice, which changed expression in response to the sound, showed the breadth of her range as a singer.
At this point, new information was released: Minori Suzuki's new song "Saihate" was chosen as the ending theme for the anime "The Pirate Princess," which will start airing in Japan in October, and its release was announced as being in the fall of this year. With the release of her solo song, the release of the movie version of "Macross Delta", and the release of a new album by Valkyrie, in which she participates, this fall will truly be "Minori's fall".
The last song was a catchy pop number "Isse-no-dekko! and the two-hour live performance came to a grand conclusion. After saying, "I promise we will see each other again with smiles on our faces," the band left the stage, waving their hands to the audience as if regretting their last moment.
During this tour, Suzuki tried to be as straightforward as possible in expressing his emotions, rather than using muddled words or giving a clichéd performance. The pop, humorous side and the serious, shadowy side are all me. It was a night in which one could feel his determination and his stance as an artist who strives to entertain. It was a wonderful and passionate performance that made us want to enjoy his entertaining style on the next stage without any restrictions.
