New TV anime "Digimon Ghost Game" to air this fall & new movie announced! Teaser visuals and a super special trailer were released!

A new TV anime and a new movie of "Digimon" were announced at Digifest 2021.

DigiFest, an annual Digimon event that has been held annually since 2014, will be held online and in real life (Yokosuka Art Theater) this year, focusing on the cast & artists of "Digimon Tamers", as it is the 20th anniversary of "Digimon Tamers" broadcast since April 2001, The event featured talk shows, original readings, and hot live performances by a total of 18 (including one visual performance) of the cast and artists of "Digimon Taimers".

The production of a new TV anime "Digimon Ghost Game" and a new movie about Daisuke Motomiya and his friends "02" were announced at the event. Digifest 2021" will be available on Streaming+ until 23:59 on August 7 (Sat.)! Please be sure to check it out.

New TV Anime "Digimon Ghost Game

The title of the new TV anime is "Digimon Ghost Game". Along with the production announcement, a teaser visual was released. The visual shows three children and a silhouetted Digimon behind them. The digimon's setting picture was also released in advance of the announcement.

The released Digimon are Gammamon, Jellymon, and Angoramon. These Digimon were drawn especially for this series, and their detailed abilities are still shrouded in mystery. What are the true identities of these three Digimon? How will they interact with the children?
Digimon Ghost Game" will air on Fuji Television Network and other networks from fall 2021!

A new movie was also announced!

Another anime work is a new movie that tells the story of Daisuke Motomiya and his friends from "Digimon Adventure 02" that was broadcast in 2000.

A super special trailer and a teaser visual have been released, and the names of Tomohisa Taguchi and Satoru Yamatoya, the main staff of the previous "LAST EVOLUTION Kizuna" are credited, but other than that, all we can see is the start of production, a copy of "02" and a mysterious line - and the only visuals we can see are a boy and a Digimon that we do not know. The main focus of this movie is everyone in "02"! Daisuke and his friends have a different charm from that of Taichi and his friends, and I want to express that because of these times. The characters we can confirm now are not Daisuke and his friends, but an unknown boy, a Digimon, and a curious line... The illustrations were drawn by Kenji Watanabe, one of the creators of Digimon! What will that mean? To be honest, we have just started, so we have a long way to go, but please look forward to it!
