The anime "ULTRAMAN" is a full 3DCG animation of the manga series in the monthly magazine "Heroes" by Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi, the creators of "Tetsu no Line Barrel" and other works.
The original comic has sold more than 2.8 million copies and is popular for its novel settings, including a world view based on the popular special effects work "Ultraman" and the mechanically designed Ultraman suit. The series depicts Ultraman as a "life-size hero," with Shinjiro Hayata, son of Hayata Shin, the first Ultraman, fighting in the Ultraman suit.
All 13 episodes of Season 1 will be available exclusively worldwide on Netflix from April 1, 2019, and from April to July 2020 on Season 1 was broadcast on TV on TOKYO MX and BS11. Season 2 is currently scheduled for distribution and broadcast, and Kotaro Azuma is a character scheduled to appear from Season 2.
