It's summer! It's the ocean! It's Seabatron!" We played with the super-cool "Soukai no Yusha: Seabatron Next -Crystal BOX-" with its refreshing clear body! Toys and Games by Yuhki Tai, Vol. 13

The most robot-loving voice actor in the voice-over industry, Yasuyuki Tai, plays around with the latest toys and hobbies in this popular series!

It's summer! It's the sea! It's the sea!

So this time, we would like to introduce the "Soukai no YushaSeabatron Next -CrystalBOX-", a set of four clear versions of the transformable toy series "Soukai noYushaSeabatron Next " from The Access.

First, the front of the box. It is a huge and gorgeous package, which is hard to believe that it was originally a hook toy.

The illustration is also colored to resemble a clear body.

When you open the front lid, you will find four marine creatures packed in a cool clear color.

On the back of the lid is an explanation of how to transform each of them. Play with them while looking at them carefully.

On the back of the box is an explanation of the marine creatures that form the motif. You are now a fish doctor! (Half of them are mammals, though.)

On the top of the box is a large title. On the bottom, there are large letters with notes and information about the site.

On the side is a close-up of the Seabatrons.

Now, since there are four items in this issue, I'd like to quickly move on to the contents!

Let's start with the killer whale type.

This toy is a long-selling product and is made with a sense of security.

When handling the clear material, be careful to handle it by holding the base of the moving parts as much as possible to avoid accidental cracking.

Thanks to the clear parts, the inner mechanical parts can be seen through!

The facial expressions are also well reproduced. It even looks somewhat cute.

Basically, there is no movement in orca mode (the left and right fins move slightly, but be careful not to damage them), so let's go ahead and transform the figure!

Seabatron, Chainji!

First, extend the body back and forth.

Bend the lower half of the body downward.

Divide the parts from the belly to the tail fin into left and right parts.

First, pull the tail fin outward at the split line near the tail fin so that the inner black toe parts can be seen. Then, flip the tail fin armor backward.

When pulling the tail fin outward, be careful of the direction of pull and the amount of force, since there is a spring inside the telescopic part.

Next, deform the upper body.

Open the orca's back to the left and right.

When the dorsal fin is tilted back, the arms change direction in conjunction with the dorsal fin.

Insert the pins on the back side of the dorsal fin. Again, be careful not to use too much force.

The front view at this point. From here, we will further expand the arms.

Lower the arms: ......

Rotate the roll axis under the elbow and deploy the stored wrist to complete the arm.

Turn over the dividing line of the orca's head and set the head in place to complete the deformation!

A very simple and easy to understand deformation, and a solid humanoid robot is complete!

The shoulders are painted gold and the head is painted silver.

The toes are also painted gold. White, black, silver and gold. It is a combination of colors with a sense of luxury.

The armored parts of the orca provide support, allowing it to stand stably.

Elbows can be bent up to 90°. Also, the forearms can be rotated under the elbows.

The arms can go up to this level, horizontally. This is almost the same for all Seabatrons.

The figure can hold the included guns in its hands. 4 types are included, so you can hold the weapon of your choice.

That's about it for the moving parts, so let's move on!

Next is the dolphin type.

The clear blue coloring and the gradient white paint give it a cool appearance.

The dull eyes have been painted.

Dolphin's face is kind of soothing.

They are really clever creatures, being able to communicate without words and learning to juggle.

The method of transformation is exactly the same as the orca type, so we omit the middle part and introduce it here.

Since it is more transparent than the orca type, I will explain it here.

The part indicated by the arrow is the spring-type telescopic part. The same structure is used for the orca, but be sure to move the axis straight when extending and retracting the axis here.

The lower half of the body has been deformed. It looks very similar to the killer whale type.

The arms and head are deformed in exactly the same sequence as the killer whale type!

The robot mode is cool, with a sea creature motif and a clear blue molding color.

The head is painted in silver and the shoulders in metallic blue. The color is endlessly blue and refreshing.

A brave man of the blue sea looking on in agitation.

Deep red paint is also applied around the toes.

Of course, he can hold a weapon in his hand.

It is interesting that orcas and dolphins are similar in basic design, perhaps because they are the same mammal.

Now, let's move on to the sharks. Let's start with the sharks.

First, the shark type.

Unlike orcas and dolphins, this shark has a slender body with a straight posture back and forth, indicating that it is a high-speed swimmer. The tail fin is also a little bent, giving it a more biological appearance.

The sculpting of the ventral side is also carefully designed.

The body color is smoke gray. The belly is painted in white and the mouth in red.

It has a sharp face.

The deformation procedure of the shark group is different from that of the mammal group, so let's take a look at the deformation sequence again.

"Seabatron, change!"

First, extend back and forth.

Lower the extended lower body down.

Split the tail to the left and right. ......

The tail fin is sprung back, but unlike the mammalian pair, there are no springs installed here, and it can be folded back as it is.

This time, the ankles are also deployable.

Take out the ankles.

Transformation of the upper body.

The back part is unfolded to the left and right.

Tilt down the dorsal fin a little, unlock it, and stop it.

Push up the plate-like parts in the body from the back side.

Raise the position of the head and arms.

Then, as with the mammal assembly, tuck the dorsal fin back and lower both arms.

Rotate the forearms 90° below the elbows, and then take out the wrists to complete the deformation!

The robot mode is clearly sleeker and faster than the mammal group.

Compared to the other Seabatrons, it has the slimmest waist.

The head is painted green, and the shoulders are painted metallic blue.

The legs are also slender and smart.

Unlike the mammalian pair, the tail fin is not split, but instead is placed on the left leg.

Only the Shark type in the "Seabatron Next" series has shoulder joints that can be raised to the top.

It is also possible to hold a weapon in its hand.

The last one is the Whale Shark type.

It is painted in clear blue and white, which is lighter than the dolphin type.

The whale shark swimming gracefully comes to mind.

The modeling of the abdomen is also not neglected.

Although he looks like he is taking it easy, he is the leader among the four in my opinion.

The procedure for the whale shark type differs slightly from that for the shark type of the same shark group, so I will explain the deformation process again.

Extend the body back and forth

Lower the lower body down

Without pulling to the side, fold the tail fin back as it is ......

The same as the Shark type until the toes are deployed.

To transform the upper body, first slide the head to arm blocks upward before deploying the arms.

Viewed from above.

Deploy both arms left and right.

The dorsal fins are tipped back to reveal the head, and the arms are lowered to reveal the wrists to complete the deformation!

Although this is a shark-type deformation, it is interesting to note that the image in robot mode is the exact opposite of the shark type, due to the volume of the whale shark that serves as the motif.

Compared to other Seabatrons, the whale shark's head is larger, so it has a voluminous chest.

The robot's head is painted silver, and its shoulders are painted metallic purple.

The combination of clear blue and white is, after all, perfect for the current season, "summer! It looks very cool.

Of course, he can hold weapons in his hands.

We chose this one because the barrel looked the biggest, but you are free to choose which weapon you would like your robot to carry.

Group photo in robot mode.

The basic transformation mechanism is the same, so the "team feeling" is very strong. It is interesting to note that the colors and silhouettes of the motif creatures give each of them a different image.

Fish mode (though half of them are mammals).

I like the way the motifs are chosen to make a point. And I am also impressed by the style in this mode.

Although each Seabatron is a Hook Toys-like toy, with only the shoulder and elbow areas movable, I play with them in this way, letting my imagination run wild.

Please take a look.

OrcaBatron, the hunter of the sea

He detects his target only by his presence and shoots the enemy without even looking at him.

His favorite saying is "Don't swim behind me.

The "Dolphinbatron" has a cheerful personality.

He is a dexterous guy who never misses his target even when he shoots a tune while side-jumping.

He always says, "How much is that in dollars?"

The calm and gentle "Zimbabatron".

Although he moves slowly, he is highly defensive and has the firepower to knock away enemies with a laser shower released from the whale shark's mouth.

He is fond of saying, "It's okay, it's okay, it's okay, I'll be fine.

The "Sharkbatron" of speed

He can transform his lower body to mermaid mode. It is almost impossible to escape from him underwater.

His favorite phrase is "Oh, no! That's as slow as a giant flying squirrel running at full speed!"

Because he says this, he is constantly fighting with Giant Bugbatron.

Later on, Giant Bugbatron saves his life, and the content of his habit has changed slightly since then.

*This is all based on the author's imagination. It is not an official setting.

What do you think?

A clear version of a hook toy, and a boxed set at that, is an interesting item that you don't often see.

I would recommend this box to both those who have the stand-alone version and those who are new to Seabatron.

There is also an extra gimmick that is unique to this box: ......

The LEDs in this box make you feel as if you are in an aquarium when you turn off the lights in your room and turn on the switch.

I, as an adult, put this box in front of me, poured a glass of cider, and enjoyed a stylish moment.

On a different note, there is another Batron boxed product on the market : "Insect Batron, Guardian God of Midori Midori -VS BOX-.

Like the SeaBatron, this boxed set is packaged in a luxurious package with specifications that are completely different from those of the individual items, so even if you have the individual items, why not keep them as part of your collection?
