Ghost of Tsushima" Online Multiplayer will add a new mode "Gun Yu" and more for free starting September 3! Standalone version also available!

The online multiplayer mode "Legends/Meijin Kitan", which can be enjoyed in "Ghost of Tsushima" for PS4 and "Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut" for PS5/PS4, scheduled for release on August 20, 2021 will receive new content free of charge starting Friday, September 3.

Released on July 17, 2020, "Ghost of Tsushima" is an open-world period action adventure themed on the "Genko" invasion during the Kamakura period (1185-1333), and sold more than 6.5 million copies worldwide in March 2021. The new mode "Gun Yu" and the "Master of Arms" system will be introduced!

First, with the release of "Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut" on Friday, August 20, PS Plus will be available for both "Ghost of Tsushima" and "Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut" for PS5/. Ghost of Tsushima" and "Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut" will be available for both PS5 and PS4, allowing for cross-platform and cross-title multiplayer.

In addition, a free major update to "Legends/Meijin Kitan" will be available on Friday, September 3. This update will add a completely new mode, "Gun Yu".

In this mode, two teams of two players compete against each other to clear waves of enemies. By collecting "kodama," which are obtained by defeating enemies, players can sabotage their opponent's team in various ways. When a certain number of "kodama" are consumed, the last wave is released, and victory is awarded to the team that clears this wave before the opposing team does.

Along with the addition of the "Herdsmen," a "Master of Armor" system was introduced as a new and challenging element of the game. Players who have acquired armor of level 110 will be able to take on the "Test of Mastery".

Once this ordeal is completed, the armor's chi level can be upgraded to 120, and a second skill slot can be acquired. Once the "Test of Mastery" is released, new skills will be unlocked for each role.

In addition, new equipment and trophies have been added with this update. In addition, from September 10 (Friday) through October 1 (Friday), new additional content will be distributed weekly.
