<Tea characteristics
Deep in the mountains of Tenryu, located in the northernmost part of Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, the Sakuma Line tunnel remains unopened to this day. Because the temperature inside the tunnel remains constant throughout the year and is not easily affected by outside influences, the tunnel has now been transformed into a wine cellar.
Himekura" is a deep steamed tea that is characterized by its deep richness and sweetness.

The tea leaves are picked and brought to the tunnel after the tea masters have finished cooking them to determine their quality.
The mellow, mellow flavor, which has been aged to remove the corners, goes well with rich sweets, making it a popular tea for both home use and as a gift.
