The movie "Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro" will be broadcast on BS12 Twelvi, a nationwide free-to-air channel, on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at 7 p.m.

BS12 Twelvi is airing "Sunday Anime Gekijo" on Sunday nights from 7:00 p.m. The program on October 3 (Sun.) will feature the movie "Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro" (digitally remastered version) from the Lupin III series, which marks the 50th anniversary of its anime adaptation this year.

The huge castle begins to move! An army of shadows attacks! The most powerful enemies finally meet in a mysterious old castle from which no one can return alive!
Released in 1979, this is the first theatrical film directed by Hayao Miyazaki. This is the second Lupin the Third theatrical version, and is full of comical and dynamic action scenes that are typical of full-length animation. The storyline is a classic one that can be enjoyed by all generations, from adults to children, and is still fresh even today.

<Story
Lupin and Dimeji go to the Principality of Cagliostro, where the goat money was issued, to steal 5 billion dollars from the state-run casino, but they find out that they have been given counterfeit goat money. Along the way, they see a girl in a wedding outfit being chased by armed men. After a fierce car chase, they succeed in rescuing the girl, Clarice, but she is stolen just in the nick of time. ...... Lupin and his friends infiltrate Count Cagliostro's fortress-like castle with the ring left behind by Clarice.
