Charity Project Launched to Spread Welfare Activities to More People with the Help of Writers and Voice Actors! Ryosuke Takahashi x Moriyasu Taniguchi, Kazuhiko Inoue, Rune Sasaki and others participate in the project!

A charity project to create jobs in sewing factories and welfare offices was launched.

The "Charity Project to Create Jobs in Sewing Factories and Welfare Facilities" is a charity project by ethical fashion brands that consider the labor environment, aiming to "create jobs in sewing factories and welfare facilities by producing items" and "make welfare activities known to more people with the help of artists and voice actors". The project aims to "create jobs at sewing factories and welfare facilities by producing items" and "let more people know about welfare activities with the help of artists and voice actors".

About two years ago, designer Takahiro Sato launched the ethical fashion brand KUDEN by TAKAHIRO SATO to create a place for his disabled son who lives apart from him to work in the future, with the aim of employing people with disabilities.

In this project, Japan's leading animators, cartoonists, illustrators, and voice actors will work together to create a fictional animated film based on KUDEN's brand concept, "Is fashion cool if it sacrifices someone else? and participated in character design and voice dramas. The character and KUDEN fashion items collaborated.
Work to print the characters on fashion items and light work was commissioned to welfare facilities such as Type A and Type B labor support facilities, and the work was created.
In addition, royalties from the artists and KUDEN's profits (profits after deducting cost purchases and labor expenses) are donated to welfare facilities and volunteer groups as charity.

This is a charity project by a small fashion brand, "doing what we can do now," to let as many people as possible know about the current situation of welfare facilities for people with disabilities (Type A and Type B labor support facilities).

Sewing factories and welfare facilities produce KUDEN fashion items and other items with character designs by the artists.
The artists' royalties and KUDEN's profits (profits after deducting cost purchase and labor costs) will be donated to welfare facilities or volunteer groups as charity.

We want to make the activities of welfare facilities for people with disabilities (Type A and Type B continuous employment support facilities) known to the world with the help of Japanese culture, which is created by Japanese animators, manga artists, illustrators, and voice actors, which we are proud of.

What is Type A continuous employment support?
Type A continuous employment support is a type of business where people with disabilities who have difficulty working in general companies work. The main feature of this type of business is that they enter into an employment contract with the business. For this reason, it is also called an employment-type facility, and a set salary is also paid.

What is Type B continuous employment support?
Type B continuous employment support does not conclude an employment contract with the business office, and is therefore also called a non-employment type.

KUDEN by TAKAHIRO SATO

KUDEN by TAKAHIRO SATO is a brand that Takahiro Sato launched to create a place for his disabled son, who lives apart from him, to work in the future. The brand concept is based on his desire as a father not to let his child "use or wear fashion or things that sacrifice someone else.
That is why we design our products and branding as social design to make producers, customers, and everyone involved in the design and brand happy.
In recognition of this social design, we won the 2019-2020 Social Design Award at the A'Design Award and Competition in Italy, the world's largest design competition.
